WOW! A spectacular Hobbit House in the forest at June Farms!
Enjoy 120-acres of beautiful farmland while you stay in your very own Hobbit house! Nestled in the hills of Hudson Valley, June Farms is a gorgeous animal sanctuary. During your stay, you will be able to meet our Shire horses, Scottish highland cows, Gloucestershire spotted pigs, Nigerian dwarf goats, many chickens and ducks! From June 1 - Labor Day, the bar & restaurant is open most days for you to enjoy (check our calendar to be sure). We look forward to meeting you!
We typically do not interact with our guests at all, unless you'd like to speak to us! We respect your privacy. ALL of your check-in and check-out details will be sent to you ahead of your arrival. If there is an emergency, and you would like immediate service, please reach out DIRECTLY (via our cell phone number's ) and NOT through the app.
Unless you request a halfway cleaning or are in need of concierge service, you will not receive any visits or messages throughout your stay!
The "neighborhood" is what we call "farm country". However, we are just 10 minutes away from Albany and Troy, and about 45 minutes from Saratoga and Schenectady. There are many amazing restaurants very close by, and excellent shopping. When you book, you will receive a link to our blog giving you many suggestions for fun things to do off the farm.
Anytime you visit June Farms you have access to all 120 acres, and can explore the farm meeting all of our happy farm animals!
The space was built in 2022 and was custom made for June Farms! It was built into the hillside of our 120-acre property and is within walking distance (150 feet) of our farm animals and The Pony Barn bar and restaurant.
One of the great things about June Farms is its proximity to the Albany Amtrak train station. It is a very simple, and short Uber ride (10 minutes) should you decide to take the train. There is also a Greyhound Bust Station in downtown Albany, also 10 minutes from the farm. Otherwise, we would suggest renting a car so that you can drive to the nearby grocery stores and restaurants. Around the farm, you can walk or rent a golf cart during your trip.
IF THIS PROPERTY IS BOOKED, PLEASE TAKE A LOOK AT OUR "AIRSTREAM" PROPERTY. YOU WILL LOVE IT! (It has a hot tub!)
Please keep in mind that when you visit June Farms, the most special part is being in nature, and your ability no matter when you stay with us, to walk around and visit with all of the farm animals. Because we are a very popular event space, you should NOT expect the bar and restaurant to be open when you are visiting because we may rent out the bar/restaurant privately at the last minute. This will not affect your reservation, or your ability to walk around the farm. However, there will be no food and bar service on the property if we do have a private event, in which case you will need to visit one of the neighboring fine restaurants or grocery stores.
Please note: due to high demand there are no refunds on cancellations if you book directly with us.

Stay at Hobbit House
My husband and I truly enjoyed our time together at the Hobbit House! It is in a peaceful location in the woods and the outside decor is beautiful. We liked using the fire pit and appreciated that bug repellent was available to use. The interior was awesome and we loved cooking at that rustic wooden counter! We highly recommend staying at the Hobbit House for a unique experience that you will enjoy and remember!

Best sleep in a long time
What a special place nestled in a special farm.. I loved the secluded feel and it was great to enjoy an outdoor fire and sleep in the cozy bed. Can't wait to visit again. During my stay, cell service and wi-fi were spotty, so I'd go in expecting an off-the-grid stay - it was honestly nice to be disconnected and I ended up really enjoying reading some of the Tolkien books in the Hobbit House :)

A amazing!
We stayed at the Hobbit house for a couple of nights in January of 2024. It was such a wonderful experience! Every detail, every element of homeyness has been thought through. We enjoyed every minute of it and didn’t want to leave the house. We also took a morning walk by some of their animals on the farm and stopped by their breakfast place - another great surprise that was full of great ambiance and charm. Food was very tasty and delicious. We will definitely come back here soon!

A Great Weekend
The Hobbit House is really well designed and fun/cool to stay in. We had a great time and June Farms is a nice place to visit. We enjoyed a fire pit outside, and walking around the farm - which has more to offer than we initially expected. It provides a good base to visit the area, although you will need to drive a little ways to find activities other than hiking. Definitely recommended .. and we also enjoyed Chez Mike restaurant - nice atmosphere and good food. Do not be put off by the exterior. The Pony Barn looks great for an evening, but is more often than not booked for a private party.
June Farms is a great place to stay if you love the outdoors and animals. There are lots of things to do. The grounds are immaculate and the hobit house was exactly as it was described.Highly recommend
