"Wagon was in a lovely location on a farm and owner was very nice, once I managed to find the farm , but checking in time or instructions would have been helpful . Bed was comfortable and I did appreciate the tea, sugar and milk provided , but the room itself was quite cold -with one tiny inadequate heater . Bathroom was also very cold and smelled very damp and unfortunately the toilet seat was loose and shooting off to one side. "

The only thing to be aware of is there is no shower in either bathroom (likely due to low ceilings), although both have a mixer tap with a showerhead so you can sit / kneel and shower this way. "Me, my partner and our two dogs stayed at rabbit hill hut for a week this July and honestly couldn't fault it. It had everything you could need. The Shepard's hut was perfect for the 4 of us to sleep, get washed and prepare light meals. The enclosed garden was fantastic for our lurcher and springer spaniel, they loved interacting with the horses and sheep in the next field, and we loved the extra seating area. Only met the host once in passing, he was really lovely to talk to about the area and...

My only drawback was the stairs to bedrooms, but I am disabled, so because I forgot to mention this when booking, (with Expedia), I had to climb all 26 steps! Breakfast was brilliant. We had a couple of meals that weren’t as described …. The lamb in lamb ragu was mince not pulled lamb and the noodles in the Chinese chicken were watery. The position of the hotel is ideal and we would return."

"Lovely friendly staff. Able to check in early which was great. The pub the accommodation is connected to is wonderful - excellent food and great surroundings. The room could have done with a more thorough clean - the were dust bunnies under the bed. The bathroom needs an update. But it was clean enough. Comfortable beds. Be aware that the ‘window’ in the bedroom is the top half of the stable door, so we could not leave it open for air at night, however there was a small window above that could be left open, and another small window in the bathroom. Just glad we didn’t stay in the height of the heatwave. There was a fan in the room and it had been left running which was thoughtful. The breakfast room was well stocked and it was great to be able to help ourselves in the morning to what we wanted. I would definitely book the accommodation again without hesitation."
