"Lovely, clean, modern rooms, but air con wasn’t working in ours despite reporting it twice so whilst our kids had a lovely cool night’s sleep, we tossed and turned in our sticky hot room. Maintenance man said it was working but although it blew a little air out, it did not cool the room down and we were very uncomfortable in the unusually high 30 degree temperatures. "We absolutely adored this beautiful hotel! It is picturesque, in a wonderful, quiet location, and all of the staff were so friendly and helpful. Our room was great- lovely, clean and beautifully decorated and we were close to everything, but not in the middle of the busiest areas - which was perfect. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Bruges."
"Good points: Friendly staff. Location is great if you have luggage with wheels and want to avoid lots of cobblestone streets, restaurant downstairs is atmospheric, bed is quite comfortable.
Bad points: Rooms are very tired and walls are dirty and in need of fresh paint and new linen. Paper thin walls so you hear ever. There was some blood on toilet wall. Communal toilet ran out of paper. I guess you get what you pay for."
"This is a very convenient hotel to overnight on the way to the ferry ports to UK. It is about 100m from the E40 although there was no noise from the road. The room was large, very smart, air con and has tea and coffee facilities. The restaurant and bars were attractive but we took the opportunity of driving into Brugge. Check in staff were lovely. There is a local town with pubs and shops, and Brugge is just 8 Km away. The parking at -'t Zand Underground Garage is excellent plentiful, 5 mins...
