Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Union
10/10 Excellent
"I had a wonderful stay overall—I checked in on Thursday evening, December 4th and my room was spotless, the service was excellent, and the night staff truly went above and beyond. The young man working overnight was especially gracious and professional when I approached the front desk.
Unfortunately, my experience was disrupted by a group of so-called “work professionals” staying at the hotel. Their behavior was shockingly belligerent, rude, and extremely loud well after 1 a.m. Since there is no bar on-site, it was disappointing to see guests treating the hotel like a late-night social scene, especially in a family-friendly environment. Despite the night staff’s attempt to address the noise, the group ignored the request.
Upon checkout, I spoke with the manager, Joshua, who was already aware of the situation and showed genuine concern. I appreciated his attentiveness and hope the hotel can take steps to prevent future guests from having a similar experience.

"Nicely renovated rooms in the heart of summit. Staff friendly. When we were early for the buffet the chef actually showed us around the banquet room and encouraged us to tour the downstairs. How could you ask for more"
"Terrific B&B in a beautiful old house. Room is large and vomfortable. Continental breakfast is good with fresh bagels and pastries, fruit and more. Very nice staff. "
"I love this place. I wish I had discovered it years ago. I regularly come to New York City for work and this has been an unknown amazing place until now. At Summit train station which is two blocks away is an easy commute into New York City. The rooms are beautiful. It’s quiet. The Ymca is just over the train tracks. And there are many options for food and drinks nearby. The in itself is historic and the rooms are large and comfortable. The in staff are very nice and supportive. So thank you, Maria. I stayed here multiple times through the past few weeks and I anticipate being back. For me five stars all the way."
"Lovely hotel. Great location in the lovely town of Westfield. Spacious room. Very nice decor. Helpful staff. Can’t fault. Some gluten free options would have been nice."
"This was the perfect spot for me to stay while visiting family in the area. One of the cutest properties I’ve stayed in! The place was spotless, upgraded, and cozy, and I felt very safe staying there alone. Rafael was very communicative, giving great check in directions and even checking in to make sure the temperature of the unit was okay. I’ll definitely stay here again!"
