My stay was 3 nights , it was very good and the food and breakfast was so nice..next I will sure book this hotel again for my business trip, Also, I will recommend to my friends and relatives who wish to visit vizag.
We booked this hotel from hotels.com , when we took reservation the staff refused our booking by saying they are not dealing with hotels.com ( expedia ) anymore , after calling hotels.com customer service we are offrered a room after waiting for two hours in the lobby. The crew is very rude and they dont have minium manners. When I asked one of the boy for WIFI password , he said he will ask and come back . however he was enjoying watching tv in the lobby. if you visit vizag, Please dont visit this hotel. one more thing the birayani we ordered is smelly , they replaced after asked the staff. *..... bad place and bad service

Hotel.com... useless at liaisoning with the hotels
Hotel Megahalaya staff were relevantly friendly. I wasn't very happy that that fridges were not provided for the standard rooms.
I am extremely upset the HOTELS.com did not send my booking over to the hotel! Thankfully the staff there still gave me a room
It was the hotel's good decision that saved the day for themselves from an embarrassing situation ... But must say they rectifed, reasoned with themselves and saved the day for the guest too. Thanks to Expedia's intervention and mainly thanks to Megalaya's management decision.
My only suggestion to the suppliers and the portal expedia is if you as a supplier offer a discount to be passed on to the customer than stick to it, if not don't bother and the portal is not put to a embarrasing situation with their customers.
Secondly if the portal is a go between please follow up with your suppliers and also double check and during peak season triple check in writing and verbal confirmation. Don't take the process for granted as it can put the customers who trust you to a lot of inconvivence and harrassment... Than what could have been followed up as a double check now would have landed the portal executives with many more hours of job sorting out the issue and bad name as well.
