Indoor pool is amazing

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed our stay and the pool was a big hit with the younger ones in our group. Unfortunately, we had to make adjustments to the sleeping arrangements because we didn't count on some of the sleeping areas being pullout sofas and mattresses in the closet.

Family beach trip

The house was big, everything was as expected if not even better. My family had a wonderful time. The beach was walking distance. Shops were not too far from the house. We did have a family show up trying to use the pool (they said they paid for) they do not do that so don't get scammed, but management came and solved the issue. Overall is was beautiful and an amazing place to stay.

Annual Family Summer Beach Vacation

This was our first time in Sandbridge and first time renting a house with an indoor swimming pool. As with any beach house rental, nothing will ever be perfect, but this one comes ranks up there with the best we have rented over the years!

Large family stay in May

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The property is at a great location, just about 2 min walk to the beach, with a great floor plan for big gatherings. The deck overlooks the canal, which gives additional opportunities for water sports. We enjoyed paddle boarding, kayaking and fishing, as well as sitting on the deck at the sun set. The indoor pool was a huge plus since we had several rainy days during our stay and with four babies in the house, it was a life saver. The water in the pool was at the perfect temperature for the little ones to enjoy it and have a lot of fun. The house could use some upgrading and deep cleaning, but other than that it is a great property for a family fun.

Chapel Bay

Fantastic spring getaway. House was everything the description said plus. Rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable. Views were amazing. Pool was clean and fun for the entire family. Can't recommend this house enough, will absolutely stay here again.

Family Christmas stay

A couple of small hiccups that was taken care of immediately. We had a really nice stay. Our biggest drawback was not enough of kitchen utensils (pots and pans etc)

Great Stay But House Needs Work

Loved the location and the layout of the home - my multi generational family enjoyed the stay immensely!! But the house is in dire need of TLC, walls patched and not painted over, and other clear maintenance issues that have gone unaddressed. Fully functional but not in the best of shape.

Just what we needed

This place was perfect for a much-needed getaway! The house and pool were both clean and inviting. The beach is just a short, easy walk away The rental agency was very accommodating and helpful. There was one minor maintenance issue, that was dealt with promptly by a very polite gentleman. I would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful Beach Getaway

The check-in process was easy and the staff was very responsive and helpful. The house is in a great location - walking distance to the beach and sitting right on a canal. It is close to stores and restaurants, as well as activities such as fishing, a water park and aquarium. The home is very spacious and well equipped for multiple people and their interests. The owner of the real estate company that manages the property - Joey - came out herself to fix a problem that we were having. She was very nice, knowledgeable and helpful.

Family Vacation

The property is as advertised. It was comfortable for our group of 11. Plenty of room to spread out. Complete appliances and kitchenware. The pantry was great to put all the food stuff we brought so we didn't have to scrounge thru cabinets to find something.The indoor pool is a unique touch. Beach access is a short 2 block walk which is nice, especially fro the trip back

Great for families

The property management was attentive and helpful. The home was as described. I would describe the property as comfortable, in that it wasn't too nice that you worried, but still nice that you felt like you were in a more upscale home. There were some minor issues, property management was quick to attend to, so didn't negatively impact our trip. The indoor pool was heated, and the kids loved it! Note: the fridge ice machine is very slow, be prepared to buy or make your own ice. Otherwise, you'll have a great trip!

Spacious Property and Fabulous Location

This is a perfect space for large family gatherings - it allows everyone to enjoy individual activities and visiting without disturbing those who may need to nap or turn in early. Our ages ranged from 2-70. The indoor pool was a huge hit and a perfect entertainment when you've had enough sun. We had a wonderful stay, and Ocean Sands Realty was very responsive when issues arise - we discovered an exposed electrical outlet and they sent someone over right away. We also found cigarette butts in the outside grill which a prior renter must've dumped,and they would've sent someone over for that but we cleaned it up ourselves quickly enough. Note that the property is non-smoking indoors and out and except for the grill the property reflected this. Recommended for families with young children: bring window darkeners and gates to keep toddlers away from stairs. Also, if you're cooking, bring needed spices so you don't have to buy the basics at a store. We had a great time and highly recommend the property

Great location and very large house

We had a great time! It's very close to the beach, walking distance. There's a lot of space in the home. However, it needs a lot of updates and could be cleaned a little better. Two of the beds had sand in them on the first night. The outdoor dock is dry rotted in spots and falling through the canal. The grill was broke so we had to spend our own money to fix it in order to use it. The outdoor deck fan wobbles badly and looks like it could fall down on someone. The indoor pool was freezing cold so we didn't use it much at all. Also, the air temperature in the pool room is either extremely hot or cold. It can't be regulated. We called maintenance and they checked it out and said it was normal. There was no coffee pot, just the machine. Even with all the issues, If we ever have a large family vacation we probably would stay here again.

A few problems

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house is in a good location and quite lovely, but it definitely needs some updating. The pool was freezing, and nobody used it. The doors around the pool are very difficult to open and close. The appliances did not work well, and the dryer broke. The dryer was not repaired until the day before we left, and the technician pointed out that the lint buildup (which had never been cleaned) was a major fire hazard. The A/C did not work in one of the first-level bedrooms, and it was extremely hot. I am leaving this review because before I booked the house, I read several reviews that mentioned these same issues. The rental company responded and claimed that the house was under new management, and these problems had been addressed, especially the pool temperature and the doors. In our experience, this was not the case.

The kitchen has plenty of plates, bowls, skillets and pans. Regular size spoons could be added.We had a few issues, but as soon as management was made aware, they got them resolved quickly. Ocean Sands was so easy to work with. I highly recommend them.

Fun vacation week

Our family had a very good week here at Chapel Bay. We enjoyed the pool, the beach, kayaking in the canal with rented kayaks.Lots of room to spread out throughout the house. Played games and walked the neighborhood.
