For what we paid, the bed was terrible quality. Every time I moved it sounded like an elephant was on the bed. Also, it felt like a metal bar was going across my bed right where my hips were. I was disappointed.

Thanks for posting Phillip. The property uses Serta Perfect Sleepers. I can understand that the desired firmness of a mattress is a little different for everyone. The room you had was an ADA unit so the bed did sit lower.

When we arrived, it wasn't made clear that there were not amenities on the property. It wasn't until the 2nd day that someone bothered to tell us there was no coffee or restaurant available and it wasn't clear per the advertising. Additionally, there were adjacent rooms that were extremely noisy and when we brought this to the staff attention, they dismissed it saying it wasn't quiet hours. Lastly, our water never got hot in the room and not one person every came to clean. When this was brought the the attention of the staff, no one ever came and checked on the water temperature. We will not be returning here.

Shawanda, I want to apologize that you did not have the best stay experience with us. The restaurant is on the Ocean Beach Club side of the resort. We don't clean rooms daily (unless requested). This information is on the welcome letter but we should have told you this when you were checking in. It sounds like we may have missed that. We do hope that you will stay again.

I am a local. I have stayed at this hotel several times before without any issues. I reserved a room here for the weekend to celebrate my birthday with some friends. My reservations were for a room with Ocean view I was given a room that had partial ocean view. I found the description of the room online to be misleading. I was disappointed that I didn’t have full ocean view as that was the main reason for my reservation at the beach. In spite of checking in early, they did not have an ocean front room To accommodate my request. I was offered a two bedroom suite for additional price of $250. Although the room itself was clean, the floors were dirty. I walked with my socks on and within half hour, the bottom of my socks were black. Also, on this particular weekend, there was only one working elevator. I waited 10 minutes for an elevator that was empty so that I can leave. I ended up walking down six flights with my luggage. Unfortunately, this time my day was not the best experience, especially when celebrating my birthday. I do have to add that the staff was very nice and friendly.

Thanks for posting Diana. I am sorry that we didn't have a better view to upgrade you to. I also know that we had one elevator out while we updated the floors on both elevators. It tool a day for the grout to dry before we could start using them again. I hope you were able to see how great they looked before you left. We hope to see you back again.

The area, staff and hotel is nice. What I disliked was the long wait for the elevators since 1 of the elevators were inoperable. Secondly, I had noisy neighbors in the adjoining room, so I called guest services to complain and asked either I move or they moved. I was accommodated by moving from the 5th floor to the 9th floor. Calling guest services via room phone was annoying because it would ring and ring and ring with no answer. When they finally picked up, I inquired about the delay and was told when they’re busy checking in guests, (I gathered), all calls are basically ignored.

Thanks for posting Kets. I apologize for the delay in the elevator. We replaced the flooring in both the elevators and has got some great feedback but, they did take a day for the grout to dry. We hope you were able to see the finished product before you left.

Upon check in we asked for a late checkout, we were told no but we could pay a fee of $115 to checkout late. We were charged a $200 deposit fee for a room that cost $150. The tv in our room didn’t work and after an hour of waiting for someone to come we called to cancel. There was someone vacuuming at 10 pm outside of our room. The desk called us at 8 am to see if they could come and fix the tv. An hour after our 10 am checkout we realized we left a water bottle in the mini fridge so I called to see if we could swing back by and get it. I had to do a lost item claim online. And supposedly they haven’t found it. Just overall not happy with checking in at 4 and being expected to leave by 10 am. The room in itself was fine no complaints. They also don’t tell you that there will be Air Force jets flying over the hotel all day long every ten to fifteen minutes. Would stay again

Thanks for posting Kristri. I apologize for the timing of the TV upgrade. While you were staying with us, we upgraded the TV signal to high-def and added a bunch of new channels. The deposit is a temporary hold on the account and typically releases in about 48 hours after checkout (depending on your bank). I hope this information helps and we hope to see you back.

When I booked the hotel, it said that we had on-site restaurants. When I arrived I learned that there was NO restaurants in my building. I also did not have any coffee options internally. I was still asked to pay $125 for a resort fee, for what? We didn't have any amenities open. Then when I asked about parking, I was told it would include my parking but not my guest's parking. She had to pay an additional $69 for parking. When I tried to upgrade I was met with anger and frustration from your staff. I was trying to give you more money and they basically told me I was wasting their time. The people at the front desk are not nice. When I asked basic questions, such as: where can I get coffee close to here? I was met with rolled eyes and they said, "everywhere, ugh." I am so disappointed in your service. I travel constantly and plan to return to VA Beach in two months. However, I will not be staying with you or any of our partner hotels.

The restaurant is located in the adjacent Ocean Beach Club resort. Some of the items included in the resort fees are the parking, WiFi, use of the game room and the activities on property that are listed on the QR code found in the unit. Our stay was okay. The room was beautiful. The view was beautiful. The customer service was 50/50. Some of the ladies at the front desk were great like Monica and Lex, others were not great. Even my Instacart person said that they were lazy and rude. It was very unfortunate. Also, we made the mistake of taking our children into the heated adult pool. There were other children in that pool. Matter of fact, they had been in for awhile. We came in and security escorted us out. Telling us to go to the kids pool which was at the other property but the only way to the other property was to go outside.We had to take our children soak and wet outside in the 20 degree weather to the children’s pool that was not heated! Maybe it was because of the color difference. We of course are African American. Such a shame. Especially when we are checking out and we see the adult pool full of children of another color along with their parents. Very disappointing.

Our room had a crack in the sliding glass door to the balcony and had a terrible draft coming into the room. Called front desk and no answer. They were closed until 7 am the next morning. Nothing could be done and get not get a hold of anyone.

Property was ok. Arrived in my room and prepared to take a shower, no hot water this was aound 11pm. I called guest services and the concierge repeatedly, with no answer. I ended up calling the main number from my phone to get someone on the telephone, to be told no engineers on duty until morning and they would have someone come up. Next morning engineer shows up and when he left still no hot water and he would check back in 15 minutes. He never returned. I left to go out for the day and told the front desk I was going out and I left the water running to see if it would get hot and let the engineer know. She said she noted it. Fast forward i return water still running and still cold, which led me to believe that the engineer did not go back and check. In the meantime I receive a text askingvhow was my stay and i respond terrible. She immediately says im the manager and I will give you a call. She sends an engineer up who stayed in the room for about 15 to 20 minutes with every faucet running and guess what i have hot water. So from there when i wanted hot water i had to turn all faucets because once you turn them off it goes back to the original state.

Terrible stay ! Adult pool area over run w kids
Upon check in me and the wife cld hear kids screaming like crazy even out n parking lot . At desk it was super loud. Walk around corner and the 21 and up pool is filled w kids acting like animals . I told check in lady if that’s going to be happening we won’t be staying there . She assured us security had been called . 20 min later and the animals still acting up. We checked in and the entire visit was the same . We live down the street and stay here many times per yr to enjoy adult pool area and also kid pool area . This entire stay we never even got to use the 21 and up pool or hot tub because it was always filled w loud unruly kids . Completely ruined our stay and we spent the weekend elsewhere instead of around the property . This was our worst stay ever , and since Hilton took over it has gone down hill. I don’t believe we will giving it another chance after the loud unruly kids in the adult area the whole weekend . On top of that the same unruly kids wrote profanities in the sand in front of hotel for all to see from oceanfront balconies. We paid for oceanfront and go to use adult pool area and both couldn’t even happen due to the animals that were taking over the hotel and beach area to make for a terrible experience !

Thanks for posting. I want to apologize for the behavior of the other guests that you encountered. We do monitor the pool areas and keep one of the four pools on property restricted to guests that are 21 or older. Although the guests may be 21, we still ask that they respect the others in the area.
