Soft Landing Cottage Duplex – North End

Soft Landing Cottage is a relaxed, coastal duplex nestled in Virginia Beach’s quiet North End. This cozy, family- and dog-friendly retreat is located on the ocean side of Atlantic Avenue, so there’s no busy road to cross—just a short, easy walk straight to the beach. First Landing State Park is just one block away for exploring scenic trails and natural surroundings.

The cottage offers three comfortable bedrooms and one and a half bathrooms, along with a fenced backyard and outdoor shower—perfect for rinsing off after a day in the sand and enjoying the coastal breeze.

$30 per dog per night pet fee applies and must be added to the reservation (maximum of 2 dogs). Dogs are subject to approval and insurance guidelines.

The check-in was seamless. The property was clean, and the pictures were accurate. It had everything we needed for a long weekend of golf, dominoes, and watching football. It's directly on Atlantic Avenue but road noise was not overwhelming, and beach access was worth it. Easy drive or Uber to restaurants etc. I would definitely stay again.

Fantastic Northern End VA Beach accommodations!!Everything I wanted for a few nights at the beach! Located a very short walk to the beach was my favorite part!! Also close to a state park and really good restaurants (especially the seafood!) Also the place was clean, stocked with necessities, had a fenced in yard for our dogs. Good communication with the host, they were very helpful with all our requests. Would stay here again!! Thanks so much!!

Great Beach Retreat!

Great location, just steps from the beach. The house is well equipped with anything you might need and having a washer and dryer wads a huge bonus. Plenty of beach chairs and toys were included too. We would 100% rent again.

Great weekend stay!

The apartment was perfect for my husband, my mother, our 2 small terriers, and me. Kitchen was well equipped. Beds had memory foam toppers and were very comfortable. Wonderful neighborhood with short walk to beautiful beach!

Relaxing and easy to work with

This property was super cute and created a relaxing and comfortable environment. The hosts were very accommodating, helpful, and easy to work with. Access to the beach is right down the street! We all want to come back to the same place next year.

Great place and so pet friendly!

We enjoyed this house, especially the fenced in front and back yards for the dog. Beds were comfy, the kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals, and it’s so close to the beach. We look forward to staying here again.

A great family getaway

Great place to stay

Stayed during the off season to visit family. The house is comfortable, the fenced in backyard was great for dogs, and the proximity to the beach and everything in town made for a great stay. Would highly recommend!

Nice getaway

Wonderful little bungalow by the beach

This place was just lovely! Cute little place a short 2 minute/`1 block walk to the beach with no need to cross any traffic Place had everything we needed - could easily sleep six people. Place was clean, convenient and walkable (easily) to the beach or the hiking trails within Point State Park. I will DEFINITELY be coming again next year!

Fabulous Location!

The interior is cheerful and well organized. The location is amazing — on the beachside, an easy walk to a beautiful, uncrowded, wide beach; across the street, a pristine forest with cedar-lined walks. Ideal for dogs.

Fall getaway

Great getaway for family. Private back yard and fence front yard are great for relaxing with entire family and wearing out the dog before heading to dinner. Perfectly located within easy walk to beach and state park for great hiking. House was clean, and had everything we needed.

Excellent Experience!

This cozy house is so well designed that it feels bigger than the pictures look. Beautifully decorated, with a wonderful location steps away from beautiful dunes and beach. Well stocked with amenities. Fenced yard made travel with dog easy. We’ll go back!
