L’accueil avec Romain a été super, la maison est magnifique, tout comme la maison des amis et la grange qui est un vrai plus en cas de pluie !Nous nous sommes baladés dans la propriété où nous avons vu des ânes et chevaux, ce qui rend le séjour encore plus agréable ! La propriété a énormément de charme, nous avons passé de très bons moments conviviales dans le salon, et au bord de la piscine qui était très agréable...

"Super week-end entre amis (nous étions 21), dans une école transformée en gîte de toute beauté.La pièce principale est très grande et fait office de salle à manger, de cuisine de salon et de salle de jeu. Il y a tout ce qu’il faut, et rien ne manque.Les chambres à l’étage sont d’anciennes classes et presque toutes ont une salle de bain et décorées avec goût. "Je tiens à souligner et remercier la flexibilité de Marine qui gère la location. Elle a toujours répondu à mes questions, nous avons pu arriver tranquillement et pas de pression pour le départ. C’est un réel atout. Et aussi la Grange est exceptionnelle. Elle permet de passer du temps dehors même si la météo n’est pas au rendez-vous ! Juste prenez en compte que la maison est partagé avec un studio à côté. Nous avons eu des voisins adorables mais cette information est a prendre en compte je pense...

"Ruhige Lage. Alles wichtige in unmittelbarer Nähe. Zum Strand sind es ca. 1:20 h. Je nachdem wo man hin möchte. Kinder konnten im Garten super spielen. Sehr Hundefreundlich."

"Booked last minute for Le Mans 24H. New accommodation was all very clean and welcoming. Beds were comfy and the shower was brilliant. Fully equipped kitchen and washing machine were nice to have. On street parking outside was safe and plentiful. Short walk over bridge into town for lovely local bakery is well worth doing. Looking forward to staying again!"

"Gîte spacieux et agréable (confort, jardin, cour pour garer les véhicules etc...), merveilleusement situé pour randonner autour de Fresnay-sur-Sarthe (nombreux PR et GR) et dans les alpes mancelles ! En plus, il y a des commerçants locaux qui présentent d'excellents produits ! Bref, nous avons passé un très bon séjour dans la Sarthe !"

"Our host at Au Fer à Cheval was Romain, a friendly and helpful man. He owns about 20 English thoroughbred race horses, as well as breeds them. His farm is in a beautiful location with lovely views. It was unfortunately cold and wet for the two nights that we were there, so we couldn't use the pool, and the roads were too slippery for him to take us out in his horse-drawn carriage, but we did see two of his retired racing mares with their foals. Our room was comfortable and clean, good shower, and a small kitchenette. It's a good idea to take your own tea, coffee and milk with you. Continental breakfast was good and delivered to our room at the time we requested. A good guide book in English of what to do in the area was left in our room, but perhaps the only disadvantage of the place is that it is quite isolated and a long way from any any restaurants. Overall, a lovely place, and we'd recommended it."

"My 5 year old summed this up best: ‘I wish we could live here!’ The property was idyllic. It was set in huge private grounds that are not overlooked by anyone except horses and donkeys. We had all our meals outside in the sunny courtyard chatting around the large tables and listening to nature, under the shade of the tree, and spent evenings there also under garden string lights. We loved the pool - the kids spent endless hours in it and the adults could relax on the comfy sun loungers under the parasols. There was also a pool cover and the area was gated so very safe for kids. The area was incredibly quiet - we could cycle on the roads from the property without coming across many vehicles, and visited many pretty villages in le perche region and saw beautiful churches, went to nice markets and played mini golf. But we didn’t need to leave the property - there was enough there to entertain us - the pool, table tennis, darts, badminton, bikes, table football, hammocks, swing, river, donkeys, ponds and frogs, games (we loved pickomino!) and tv (that was never turned on!). The accommodation was clean, had everything we needed, beds were comfortable, floorboards were on the creaky side and doorways low for taller guests, but authentically renovated and full of character. What a privilege it was to have spent a week in such a lovely, peaceful place. "
