"Come prepared. This is a very remote place saved for nature. The cabin is a duplex and the description is misleading. I reserved the non refundable unit before noticing it was a duplex. Both units are listed with a four-person capacity when it's really only for two each. The porch and parking is also shared. "Cape Girardeau is about the halfway point for us (Wisconsin) and friends from Mississippi. This VRBO is ideally located within walking distance to plenty of restaurants, shops and bars. Property is very clean, has the basics and communication with the owner was super easy. The saloon-style doors for the downstairs bathroom were a little unexpected, but we made it work. We enjoyed our stay and would recommended this property for a long weekend."

"Check in process was easy and Jack was a great host. The property is secluded and beautiful. There is not just one screened in porch, but 2! The sauna on the back porch was a nice feature to help warm us up after we got out of the hot tub. The kitchen was stocked with plenty of items to help us cook our meals. We didn’t get to use the grill but there is one there. The Cooperhead wine that Jack gave us was outstanding. We can’t wait to go back and visit"
