"We booked a suite/connecting rooms, and it was surprisingly spacious. There was plenty of room for all our things (and the girls' various outfits!) without us feeling like we were tripping over each other. The location is a major win for families. It’s a very easy 10–15 minute walk to the train station, which gives you direct, hassle-free access to the heart of Venice in no time."

"This review speaks only to the location and room accommodations. The conglomerate rating of Exceptional is completely false and rigged. While the property and room were clean, the room was not comfortable for the fact that the AC was not working while the weather was quite warm along with the TV. The front desk seemed not to care with sharing our experience. If you want to open the windows for air, you are greeted with the noise of the drug dealings and lawlessness outside all night under the window across from an abandoned building. While convenient to the train station it is absolutely not safe to be outside the area starting in the early evenings. Our taxi driver said the area is very problematic with the immigrates who mmonopolize the area. So the rating, in my opinion is paid for as no one would want to stay here and give an exceptional review. No way!"

"I would recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to get around Venice by public transport. Located just a short walk to the Vaporetto Tronchetto Car Park stop, along with the ACTV ticket store to purchase your 1,2 or 3 day passes which was very useful. The hotel itself was very nice and room was just about right considering you spend most of your time out. Breakfast was good with a small selection of hot food and lots of pastries, and plenty of coffee machines for breakfast. The staff here were very helpful, we arrived at 1am and they were super helpful and provided all the information we needed. Would highly recommend."

"Hotel was nice. Just stayed to sleep so did not see much of the property. There are currently some renovations going on inside but it did not impact our stay in any way. The staff was great as was the airport shuttle. Room service food was mediocre. "

"Only stayed fo the evening. Staff when are arrived was so sweet and very kind. She helped us figure out the bus system to Venice. We left very early next morning so only spent and evening an the morning staff (gentleman) was also very very helpful and kind. The building was a bit disappointing for a BW. It really needed an update. Carpets didn’t feel clean. Light in bathroom didn’t work. Extr pillows in the cupboard were not clean. The outlet by the bed didn’t work appeared broken. Over all it was okay for a one night quick stay but was happy that was all. Needs renovations. Also traffic on the road was noisy all night long. "

"Very disappointing check-in experience at Staycity Venice near the train station. The front desk staff (Alexandra) was rude and unprofessional. It took 20 minutes to check in one room, and she held my passport as a guarantee but refused to provide a receipt, which made me very uncomfortable. She even suggested I shouldn’t book this hotel again. Based on this experience, I won’t—and I wouldn’t recommend it to others, as there are many newer hotels nearby, some even closer to the station."
