After lots of looking around to try and find a decent property for our stay we decided to stay at Vilafranca de Bonany. The photos do not lie, the house has been beautifully renovated and it feels very cozy and modern but with certain tradicional features. One of our concerns was if the location was too far from the coast, the nearest cala is about 30min drive from the house which wasn’t a problem for us. Being in a “central” location has its benefits, you can visit pretty much any side of the island in a hour. The property is located in Vilafranca a very quiet town, we never heard any noise from neighbors and even tho the house is right on the road you hardly hear any traffic, it was never a problem to back the car into the garage (the garage was a big bonus!!) we had a Peugeot 2008 SUV and there was a small amount of space left once the garage door was closed so a heads up to anyone with a bigger car than a standard SUV. A bonus is having a mini market right in front of the house, we went every morning to get fresh bread for breakfast and Magdalena from the shop was very helpful and kind. The only down side was the electricity would cut out if 3 hobbs on the stove were on whilst the oven was on. The house had everything we needed and is very well equipped, it even had things such as olive oil, spices, tablets for the dishwasher, cleaning products for the washing machine, fire lighters, wood for the fire, and umbrella for the beach and lots of other little things. It was great and we will stay there again if we ever come back.
