DO NOT STAY HERE! We checked in and the door lock immediately did not work well. The door was very loose and shaky and from the inside it felt that it was not securely closed. Then, once we exited the room the lock would not open! We were locked outside of the room even though the door blinked green. The hotel desk clerk had to assist us and experienced the same problem, although the door would sporadically open. The desk clerk refused to put us in a different room for the night saying the only possible solution was to ask a "technician" to look at the door - which was not sufficient as we wanted it fixed, not looked at. The hotel itself felt cold and unwelcoming. The rooms and hallways are extremely bare giving the hotel the feeling of a dorm or hostel. There is no warm ambiance and it felt a little creepy. We did not feel safe in this hotel. I have stayed in ibis before in another city and it was nowhere at all like this terrible experience. We checked out only 1 hour after checking in and went elsewhere to a different hotel locally. The desk clerk refused to offer us a refund.

We found this accommodation to be comfortable and clean. The staff were lovely - always pleasant and helpful. The surroundings are not great but it is a reasonable and convenient location. The subway and train station are very close .

Let’s get things into perspective. If you’re looking for a plush hotel to spend a week or more in then this one might not be for you. For me however, this was ideal. I came for a 2 night stop in Vienna so I could do the parkrun and a little touristy stuff! The train from the airport to praterstern cost €4.30 (£3.20) and was around 25 minutes. The hotel is just a 5-10 minute walk from the station. For those here for the parkrun, it approx 3km away. Easy walking/jogging distance across the Danube. For tourists to the city centre, it is 4km to the Hofburg palace, a little shorter for St stephens cathedral but a nice straightforward easy walk. As for the amenities, it’s a budget hotel! I read some strange reviews on here but I found my room clean and tidy. I traveled alone so had one duvet on the bed. It’s not big enough for 2 but if you look carefully there is a second one available in the wardrobe along with pillows. If I had to be really picky there are no tea/coffee making facilities in the room and no electrical sockets by the bed. The bed itself was comfortable and I slept really well - maybe it was all the walking and fresh air! Breakfast is a continental buffet. I had to pay the €15 but you won’t go hungry. Staff were friendly and helpful, especially when checking in at 11:55pm! All in all a nice stay, thank you Vienna!

I stayed for a week at the IBIS on business, the rooms are of a good size and comfortable and I had no problem working in the room using the desk. Breakfast is a little limited but plentiful, and being able to get a drink in the evening was a bonus. The main train station of Praterstern is five minutes walk, which acts as a Tram terminus and bus stop. Several good value restaurants within 5 minutes - recommended. If it had a kettle or safe I would have added an extra star

It was definitely nice overall. Don’t expect too much. Clean and comfortable though. The room is spacious. The area around it has nothing much, but it’s near the Praterstern U-bahn station so it is very convenient to head to the city center (e.g. Stephansplatz or volkstheater area). The staff was very nice, one of them helped me book a cab last minute and they’re very nice and helpful people. Overall good stay

Great on a budget
The hotel had most of the basic needs. Clean and great location near to the tube and train. i recommend it if you want to escape the noise of the main city ..easy access into most of the touristy places and couldnt fault the hotel.
