Go for it!
Really enjoyed our stay. It's not located in the thick of things, but that is not necessarily a drawback because the hotel is incredible convenient to the railroad station - right across the street - and around the corner from a tram that gives ready access to the center of Vienna (the railroad gets you to and from the airport in 15-20 minutes; the tram to the center of the city about the same). The staff was helpful, the room was just fine (not luxurious, but we didn't way to pay for luxury), and the buffet style breakfast (we paid for it on the mornings we took advantage of it) was good and plentiful. If your main desire is to experience Vienna's museums, cafes, music, and churches (all of which we did), as well as wander around a beautiful city, this hotel will provide a perfectly comfortable place to retreat to at the end of the day.

Excellent location directly across street from Vienna Hbf train station and Metro below train station. Center city easily accessible. Impressive room for a no frills Ibis. Can’t beat the price and better than many higher rated hotels. Adequate room size and nice bath. Staff very helpful and congenial. A good place to stay in Vienna

I love this hotel …
This is at least my 10th stay in the hotel. I really love it. Starts with the front desk Tamara and all the people she trained are fantastic. Cleaning !!! Always perfect, despite the fact that you have some pretty difficult looking guests. Location: couldn’t beat it for train Opera and Konzerthaus

The hotel was clean, the staff was super friendly, really friendly. The room was big enough for the two of us at this economy hotel. The AC did not work well or at all, not sure. I had to take cold showers to cool down. I would only go back if the AC was fixed.

very close to train station, good for long trip arrival guest to take a shower immediately. room has no boiler ,no refrigirator, air-con bit low. overall, a simple room with good location

Standard Ibis fare in an excellent location next to the central Vienna train station. The room was perfectly clean, had all essentials and was quiet. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great. Brilliant base for exploring Vienna.

we choose the Red Ibis anywhere in Europe !!
It was absolutely the best dissection we made as we arrived at Vienna from Geneva by train, just before mid-night. the hotel is just out of the station and you can get food till midnight! The people at the reception are very nice and helpful .The hotel Ibis Red is exactly all one needs for a comfortable stay with all transportation you need in and out of Vienna .

Clean, generous room with Tv, desk usb etc. only issue, would have liked a small kettle and coffee/tea Tilt window did not work to have fresh air. Good location for tourists or business
