Travelled with family
No refund for trip cancellation due to COVID. While they advertise no refunds up front, COVID presents a unique situation to which businesses like this need to step up. Bought trip insurance from AIG through Expedia - they denied my claim, even though quarantine is a covered peril and Austria requires quarantine on arrival for 10 days. Starting legal proceedings this week. We are going to try this trip again when COVID is under control and we will certainly remember this negative aspect on all parties when booking rooms in the future. Buyer beware.

I stayed at this hotel for three nights in January 2020. It was easy to get to from the airport. Direct train from the airport to Praterstern. The train was the S7, it cost €4.20 single way. It's then a few minutes walk to the hotel. The hotel is located on a large boulevard and is very close to the metro station Nestroplatz (red line). Upon my arrival, I was told I had been upgraded, I had a lovely large spacious room for two, all to myself. The room was clean, as was the bathroom. The room had a fridge/kettle and a safe. I was told that thee was some work being done but it would be quiet during the evening, and they were correct. The breakfast was served from 6.30am until 10.30am, and was ample. The usual cold buffet style breakfast with scrambled egg and bacon as hot alternatives. Lost of choice of pastries/fruit/yoghurt etc. I must have seen at least 5 different nationalities during breakfast so it is very international. All the staff I encountered were very friendly, helpful and spoke perfect English. Location wise, it's a very quick train trip to the centre. Walking wise it would take close to 20 minutes to walk to the main square. Overall, I would be more happy to stay here if I returned to Vienna.
