Nice Budget stay
Reception really friendly, could have spare pillows as only 1 per person. Great location in the middle of the city. Bathroom and shower fine. Main drawback bed wasnt that comfy so back pain after 2 nights!

The property’s location was great for us, very close to Naschmarkt and the tube (U4). Within walking distance to Vienna’s State Opera, Albertina, Kartnergasse etc. The room itself was very basic albeit clean so it’s perfect for short stays. Unfortunately the online checkin was a complete waste of time as I had to fill in the firm upon my arrival anyway. And despite having prepaid for our stay, they attempted to charge me again for the stay upon arrival. I wrote to them and they were apologetic (it seems the frontend colleague was probably still in training ) but that was a big disappointment and left a bad taste. Overall, for short stays, I would still consider staying with them though.

Fantastic cool hostel in excellent location walking distance to everything . Cool bar great breakfast and helpful information about what’s on. Our private double room with bathroom was fantastic .

Loved my stay
Loved my stay at Wombats! The private room was clean and comfortable. The staff were always nice and helpful. Loved the extra amenities like the Cafe and breakfast bar. It was ideal to just grab food there on days. The location is perfect and near transportation. Would highly recommend others to stay here too

My stay was really great. The room was nice, and I got lucky to get a corner bed that gave me a little more privacy. Would definitely stay again.

Friendly staff, but some miscommunication
The ambience and location of Wombats is great, but unfortunately there was some disorganization with my stay. I was assigned to a room that did not have any free beds even though I prepaid for my stay weeks in advance. Though staff were very gracious to acknowledge and resolve the issue, I wasn’t reassigned to a room where I actually had a bed until nearly midnight. Luckily, I didn’t have early morning plans but after a day of traveling internationally to Vienna, I was exhausted and would have liked to be able to go to sleep earlier than they had a bed ready for me.

Great place to sleep for a couple of nights. Very central and close to main attractions. Lots of cafés and restaurants around which was nice. I traveled alone and stayed in a female dorm and everyone was friendly. Even made a friend! Definitely recommend.

Great hostel to stay in Vienna
Pros: WIFI - Good WIFI at all the building Atmosphere - nice bar and hangout place. Room - Comftobrle bed, clean and nice bathroom. has double window so it is queit also. Hot water. Kitchen - overall clean. with fridge and basic cooking. Elavator - good. Location - great and close to metro. Laundry in the building. Cons - Room - has no table and no chairs. heating is not strong enough. No TV. No closet. Kitchen - no oven and no freezer.

Male in an ALL-female dorm
As a female solo traveler, I choose to stay in the female dorms for my own comfort and safety/ vulnerability. A male was placed in my room for a night and disturbing events happened. The hostel acknowledged it and offered free breakfast as these things “happen”. I did not feel comfortable with this response. They do not acknowledge the vulnerability of females and the privacy of those who choose to stay in ALL-FEMALE dorms.

Great hostel to stay in Vienna
I was only here for a night, but thought the place was great. It is conveniently located near the train station, the city center, Natschmarket, and Aldi is right next door, for affordable groceries. The hostel is stocked with amenities like a lobby where you're free to chill out, a bar, eating area, and stocked kitchen with free pasta. They also have laundry machines that will run you about 6 euros to wash and dry, a key card that serves as entry to your room, and locker, and clean spacious rooms and bathrooms. I liked the little charging shelf and lamp every bed had.

Amazing trip! Hostel is directly in front of the market and next door to Hofer aka Aldis. The train station is at the end of the block. Will come again.
