Loved Eliza Jane!
The boat is moored in a beautiful marina with large, clean shared facilities and a well presented Tavern which could have satisfied all my food and drink needs (but i was happy cooking on the boat which has a good set-up). Eliza Jane herself has been thoughtfully kitted out - from pots, pans and cleaning materials to games, books and sunblock. My two weeks were blessed with perfect weather and i spent much of it admiring the birds and changing skies from the loungers on the front deck. I found the bed cosy and comfortable. Getting to the front deck did take a little getting used to (as a non boatie) as the "walkway" is narrow, requiring crab-walking - didnt spoil it for me at all but, as the front deck is such an important area to be able to reach , be realistic about the mobility required to scoot about a small boat. I'd certainly go back.

Relaxing.
We enjoyed our Hindmarsh island Escape on the Eliza Jane. She had character! Bedding was comfortable, fridge well-supplied and complimentary wine. It was delightfully-quiet mid-week, and the boat cosy. A relaxing and unique way to experience Hindmarsh Island and surrounding towns. Thanks Kate.- P.T.

Great Experince!
My partner and i stayed here for the weekend and it was amazing! the photos online make it look a lot smaller than it really is but when you arrive there is a lot more space than makes out to be! The bathroom facilities were very clean and the area was very peaceful!

Needs a little tlc
Somewhat disappointed with the condition of the boat, much older and worn than photos indicated. Very difficult to get in and out of, wobbly steps. Unpleasant odour in ‘bedroom’. Access to seats on deck very difficult. Not suited for anyone over 5’6 or 55 years old.

We loved the location. Staying on a very old boat is quite an experience. As with a lot of these old river boats, the accommodation is very cramped. Make sure you do your homework before considering a stay. Everything we needed was onboard. Safety was a concern for me as there are no handrails to assist in getting down into the boat so make sure you dont require this sort of assistance. Unfortunately for us the weather had not been kind it was very hot for a few days before our stay. The boat has air conditioning but not the sort you can leave on all night as the water produced through the air conditioner is collected in a jug which needs to be emptied every few hours. On our first night it rained and the rain entered the cabin through the hatch above the bed so we had a very wet night, wet bed and blankets and very little sleep. Normally there is a cover over the hatch but it must have blown off in the wind prior to our arrival as we endured dripping water through the cracked glass on the hatch which my partner fixed the next day. Apart from a few hic cups we had a nice stay

A very unique, romantic stay
We really enjoyed our time on Eliza Jane! Beautiful, serene spot and such a fun place to stay - watching the sun set, taking the kayak around the marina and eating breakfast on the front deck were just a few highlights. Comfy and quite well equipped, save for a few of the main lights not working. Bathrooms at the marina office were also great!

The boat was such a cute little stay for us. We loved the location close to al the beaches in the south and the tavern was just across from the boat stay. Such a beautiful location and a cosy little boat.
