This was an amazing experience-beautiful home and room in an historical house. The included breakfast that was hosted in a wonderful mansion several blocks away was incredible, as was the tour afterwards.

Unique stay

We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful cottage with its unique furniture. The breakfast at Duff Green was exquisite. We also recommend the complimentary house tour at Duff Green Mansion.

I loved the decor inside the home. The place really made it feel like our hoke away from home. The breakfast was amazing! The hospitality was also wonderful. We will be back next year. Thanks again for allowing us to stay and being so patient with us!

Love the Duff Green Mansion!

Our stay was actually in the mansion, and not the cottage. We loved it so very much. The staff is fantastic. So very friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The breakfast was amazing. We only have wonderful memories from our stay there, and would not hesitate to go back.

A Very Nice Stay

We stayed in Mae-Mae's Room at the Steele Cottage and it was great for our needs. Well appointed, conveniently located and easily accessible, yet removed from the core downtown area for privacy. The breakfast service at the Duff Green Mansion B&B was good for a first morning, but the 3+ block walk is not directly toward the main part of downtown and the river. I suggest equipping the Steele Cottage with bottled waters and snack items in each room for optimal convenience.

Steele Cottage was a charming, well kept, and very clean place to stay. We rented MaeMae's room and liked how it was apart from the other rooms. We also enjoyed having breakfast at the Duff Green Mansion along with touring this home. This was included in the price. We would highly recommend staying here.

We’ll kept up and very historically homey. You do have a very large bathroom outside the bedroom for the Swords room. The other two rooms have en-suite bathrooms.

Delightful Surprise

Surprised no one there to greet us, Doorbell said some come soon. Hot, so finally went to shade in back & called so at least 20 min in hot weather before we could check in. Rented thru hotels.com so surprised not private bath but worked out since only ones renting, Breakfast/tour at Duff Green home excellent, Place was excellent except for welcome challenging & no private bath. Suggest marking all 3 keys for place so know bath, bedroom, front door apart. We enjoyed our stay, a highlight with added Duff Green house breakfast/tour.

If you’re wondering what it’s like to stay in a house almost 200 years old, this is the perfect solution. The property is decorated in period furniture and really gives you a sense of another period in history. Location is ideal for visiting Vicksburg sites as well. The breakfasts at Duff Green were awesome also.
