I'm not sure why this property has such a low rating. I thought it was just fine. Yes, its a little dated but its not like 1990's dated.... It was clean, quiet and I felt safe. Parking was ample. The breakfast was good. I go to Vicksburg twice a year for business and this is my first time staying here. I have stayed at other hotels in the area with higher ratings and they were awful. I'd absolutely stay here again.

My husband and I stayed at La Quinta in Vicksburg MS for an anniversary getaway. When we arrived we were told that the elevator was not working, our room was on the 3rd floor. We decided to go ahead and stay. The next morning my husband (75) was having trouble breathing and going up and down the stairs. I spoke to Antino at the front desk, he said they could possibly move us to the 1st and that the manager would be in around 7, I could talk to her about getting us moved. I spoke to her ( Mikala) and she said she could get us moved if a room became available and to check with the front desk between 12 and 2. I checked back around 12 and was able to change rooms . We stayed Sept 18 thru 21 and enjoyed sightseeing around Vicksburg . Very big THANK YOU TO ANTINO, MIKALA, KIANA AND OLIVA for all the help with changing rooms and dinner suggestions Sunday night

Very welcoming! Front desk personnel were very pleasant, courteous and efficient. Room was very nice and clean. Comfortable bed. The only downside was that the lobby and elevator were very warm. No A/C. But climate control in the room was great!

I booked for 3 in our room. I booked a deluxe queen (2 queen beds) with a sofa bed. I was given a double room (2 full beds or VERY narrow queens) and no sofa bed. When I brought that to the attention of the check in person, I was told the elevator was broken and they were putting everyone on the first floor. I asked for a cot, at least, and was told they don’t do that. He did tell me they had a room on the 3rd floor if I wanted to carry everything upstairs. I felt very “slighted” by him and walked away before I let my anger get the better of me. Had I been informed BEFORE checking in and signing the paperwork, I would have asked for a refund. In any event, we managed to make do with 2 beds. Breakfast was edible and checkout was no problem.

The hotel is in a great location, with everything conveniently close by. The Wi-Fi was fast and reliable, and we had no issues with the connection. Unfortunately, the customer service could have been better. When we checked in, there was a situation at the front desk involving a customer who was concerned about a vehicle parked in a handicap space. I understand customers are not always right and that situations like this can be frustrating, but I felt the employee could have handled it more calmly and professionally. Saying that it was “not a big deal,” discussing the situation with other guests, and using inappropriate language made an uncomfortable first impression. The coffee was also disappointing, and we ended up buying coffee elsewhere. I have stayed at several La Quinta locations, and I’m used to having good, fresh coffee. Overall, the location and Wi-Fi were great, but the customer service experience and coffee could definitely be improved. I hope management takes this feedback constructively because a friendly and professional first impression can make a big difference.

The property is a bit dated but overall nice. The room was very quiet which is very important to us. Only issue I saw was in the lobby there is a very open sign saying NO PETS. When I was going back to the elevator to return the luggage cart 3 people walk out of the elevator with a big dog.

The breakfast could have been better. Eggs were watery, bacon under cooked, gravy tasteless, and the coffee a little weak. The area was clean tho. The cleaning staff needs to pay more attention to what the room may need. There were 2 bottles of conditioner and no shampoo, body wash, or kleenex. The beds were comfortable and the hotel is quiet. The employees were all very polite and friendly.

The hotel staff were friendly and very helpful. The housekeeping staff did a superb job of taking care of our room. The only negative was the breakfast. My traveling companion commented that she found water in the eggs and that the biscuits were bland. I, however, ate the pre-packaged muffins and had no issues.
