"14 tage Urlaub in einer sehr ruhigen Gegend-5 min mit dem Auto zum Velencesee, 50km bis Budapest( sind mit dem zug gefahren,alle Bürger,auch EU Bürger über 65 fahren kostenlos in Ungarn) und 60 km bis zum Balaton. Genug Einkaufsmöglichkeiten vorhanden.Wir haben die Zeit genossen und hatte eine sehr gute Kommunikation mit den Besitzern.Wurden von ihnen herzlich empfangen und in das Haus einegewiesen. Alles in allem nur zu Empfehlen"

I don't like to stay in the big city and this place is great, its off the beaten path but easy to get to and from starting and ending each day. "Overall a disappointing experience. The spa was very nice, but the restaurant dinner buffet had lukewarm food for a relatively expensive price in Hungary. The breakfast buffet was also lukewarm. After breakfast and before checkout time we returned to our room to find our keycards didn't work anymore. Eventually they reactivated them so we could get back in our room to collect our stuff. At checkout the staff were adamant I hadn't paid via Hotels.com even though I thought I had, and they swiftly prepared my invoice and gave me the payment terminal. While I was paying I was checking my Hotels.com emails and bank account, and only after the payment had gone through I found that I had indeed already paid via Hotels.com. The staff were fortunately able to reverse the transaction, but offered no apology for the mistake. We wouldn't stay here again."

"After our 17 hours of flight it was a delight to spend our first day in this beautiful environment! Absolutely enchanting, peaceful and quiet! The staff of the hotel and the restaurant were amazing! Unfortunately the weather was terribly hot (went above 40 that day), but when we requested a fan in our room by the time we got back it was delivered. The restaurant was also first class. The food was delicious and the service was beyond our expectations! The waitresses might be young but don’t let that fool you, they were very professional! The castle grounds are beautiful, well kept and tranquil! We will definitely stop at Karolyi Kastely again our next visit to Hungary! Thank you for your hospitality and amazing service!"
