"I really enjoyed my stay at Field Guide Lodge. The living area is beautifully designed—spacious, stylish, and very comfortable. I especially loved the furniture and overall vibe. The morning coffee and afternoon hot cider were such nice touches, and breakfast was wonderful. The room was spacious, and I really enjoyed the bathtub—nothing compares to a hot soak after a full day of snowboarding! The location is great as well—I loved having The Bench restaurant just across the street. The front desk team was also very responsive and helpful throughout my stay. I would definitely come back!"

"My friend and I stayed for a spring ski weekend at Stowe. It's an easy drive to the mountain and a short drive to all the restaurant options in town. We rented demo skis at Pinnacle, which is literally across the street. We were exhausted from skiing each day so didn't end up using the amenities like pool and hot tub. "

"Loved this place! My wife and I spent 4 days here while skiing Stowe and visiting with friends. I highly recommend it. Here's why...The price, at lease at this mid-March point of the season, was very competitive and lower than most other places in the area. For the space, amenities and location, this was a bargain.Second, the hosts were super to work with. Friendly, helpful, and supportive with my set of questions before we arrived. And their pre-arrival instructions were detailed and clear and came four days before our arrival which was nice, so we had time to review and digest them. And then anything we asked about while at the unit got a near-instant response. Very nice and accommodating hosts!Third, the location is terrific. There is a market literally steps away from the unit. And then all of the shops and restaurants and bars on Main Street were within 5-10 minutes of walking. Great location and close to so much. And the Stowe ski resort is only a 15 min drive too.The unit itself was spacious, clean and had a well-appointed kitchen with any bowl or utensils, as well as basic spices. The kitchen space is large. There is a decent size room upstairs with a bathroom / shower right off of that bedroom. Downstairs is a larger bedroom with a king bed and modern and spacious 'jack and jill' (access from two separate bedrooms) shower / bathroom space with a smaller bedroom off of that big shower space.LOVED the place overall!"

"We were in a King Junior Suite, and it was great. There was room to stretch out and room for all our ski equipment, too. The bed was comfortable. We could walk to some great restaurants. There was a shop across the street with great wine/beer, and noshing options. The place was clean. The hot tub was hot. The staff were friendly and helpful. The place is right on the 108 bus route to the mountain. Took the bus two out of three days and it was easy. We look forward to staying here again."

"The room was clean & the fireplace was a perk. The problem was that the room was a ridiculously far outdoor walk uphill from the front desk with no bellhop in sight although the property claims to have a bellhop. On our walk, a lady in an ATV stopped to talk to us but didn't offer a ride or help with bags. And after the uphill trek with luggage in the elements, we had to drag our bags up steep stairs because the building had no elevator despite hotels.com saying it has elevators. Only in the main building. The room had no drinking water & when we called the front desk, they told us to walk back a ridiculous distance to purchase water or use the vending machine in the building. Newsflash: The vending machines have been removed from our building as well as the main building. All other buildings require a key so we had no access. Doubt they have vending machines. Hence, no drinking water. We were thirsty. Their website states that fire pits are just steps from our door. False. They are only in the pool area. We requested a bellhop to help us with our bags when we were departing as we needed to store bags for a few hours. After 2 calls and 45 minutes, nobody showed up so once again, we lugged our own bags a ridiculous distance. The carpet on the stairs in the common area in the Mansfield house hasn't been changed in decades. We were hopeful for a great stay, but the grunt work and lack of customer service & false advertising was overwhelming. We deserve a refund! "

"This place is cute and convenient and we loved the room and the lounge. However, the hot tubs were broken. They were the reason we chose this place. No effort was made to inform us of this or make it right, other than the offer to drive next door (there may be paths in the summer but not in the winter) and use the indoor hot tub at bluebird. We paid extra to stay at the adults only resort with the nice outdoor hot tubs, so we are disappointed. The breakfast food was nice, but they have one person working the desk and the breakfast, and she was well behind keeping everything (coffee, cream, silverware, etc) stocked. Moral of the story is call ahead if you want to use amenities that could be out of service. We didn’t this time and we paid for it. "

"Nice property and good location close to everything in Stowe. Only about 15-20 minutes to the Mansfield Lodge at Stowe resort. The communication with the host was seamless. The property was clean and comfortable and was well stocked with kitchen essentials. Good water pressure in the shower. The laundry and equipment storage is accessible from the basement door (near the parking area), not in unit FYI. You do hear road noise, but it personally didn't bother me much. If it snows, the plows do make a bit more of a racket, but ear plugs and a noise machine are provided. Definitely recommended!"
