The best
What a fabulous restful serene place .. beautiful views of Venus Bay from verandah and all windows .. just stunning .. clean and has everything you need and want .. caretaker was so helpful and kind and the booking process was easy .. we loved it and so did our pooches .. thank you and hope to be back one day

Venus Bay
Loved the peace and quiet, and the eco friendly set up. Everything worked, we were warm and comfortable. The blow flies in the laundry were an issue, we could not find where they got in. And the house not very well cleaned. But overall a relaxing quiet stay.

How's the serenity
Information provided was comprehensive and the location is stunning. This is a real find, bit off the beaten track so great to get away from it all. We also enjoyed being able to have our Aussie Terrier along who enjoyed all the new smells. Julie was a great host.

The property met our expectations, great views of the harbour and close to the beach and Venus Bay itself. Unfortunately the Harbour Point dirt road badly needs grading by the council .. doesn’t suit car with low profile tyres

Way overexceed my expectations 😂!!
What an incredible place, the cabin was incredibly well set up, kicked any hotels butt, I've ever stayed at, the view, the locals, the wildlife, and not only did my family love it, our doggies did too! Even caught up with old friends and family.. Thank you so much for an incredible experience!!

A little slice of paradise
Peaceful, beautiful little bit of paradise.. perfect spot for day trips to all the sights.. cabin was well equipped and tidy. Beautiful sunsets, and the private beach only 100m from your door.. we can't wait to come back

HIDDEN TREASURE!!!
An amazing place to unwind and just relax and watch the world go by. Even with our collision with a roo had a silver lining if there could be one. Had 2 local couples stop and rescue us. MASSIVE SHOUT OUTS to Fred and Deb from Venus Bay and Alleleise and Neville Dophin restoring our faith in the fact there are still amazing kind people in this world. We will be back!!..... But with a car that has a bullbar :) And thank you Julie for your understanding and allowing us to stay at an amazing part of the world.

cute shack nestled in nature
if you love nature and tranquillity, this is for you. small, fairly basic shack with gorgeous views over venus bay that is nestled in native scrub. you will have butcherbirds and shrike thrushes singing outside your window. we ate most of our meals outside on the deck, overlooking the bay. great experience for a couple who likes nature.

We stayed in the property for 3 nights together with our 3 pets. The stay was great and we enjoy the property and the surrounding. Our pets loved the environment and short walk to the beach. Will surely recommend and will be back again.

Quiet eco- friendly location
Peaceful, picturesque and lovely place. We just had a 2 day stay on our travels as we wanted to see Venus Bay. Plenty of room for 2 and comfortable for 4. A lovely bird on eggs in a nest above bathroom door. Thanks for the stay.

Anniversary Holiday
Melaleuca was a gem of a find. This place was well equipped and perfect if you want to get away from it all. The instructions on the place were received well in advance of our travel which I liked as I like to be organised. It was great to be able to take our dog with us and she absolutely loved the place. Its very close to a private beach which is great. Would definitely stay here again.

disappointed It was a beach shack and photos were not accurate.
The shack was not suitable for a comfortable stay. Bedrooms so small and enclosed I chose to sleep on the couch for 1 night of a three night stay! then left the next morning. Perhaps I expected too much. If it was advertised as a basic beach shack I would have known better. I realise we all expect different things, however this certainly didnt meet my expectations. It did have heating, hot water, and new kitchen , to its favor. However the constant noise of something under the property and in the roof cavity overnight was the final straw. Would be ok for an adult family who wanted just basics, and were willing to rough it.However I couldnt honestly recommend it.

Nature at its best!
The three of us and two dogs had a wonderful time at Melaleuca. The cabin was cosy and although there was one little hiccup, Julie was close at hand on the phone and very helpful, and the cabin certainly has character, and a gorgeous deck to look out to Venus Bay, and to watch the sunsets. Also it has a very helpful stand to place at the steps so that the dogs remain on the deck if needed, which was wonderful! The scenery and coastline in this area are magnificent, so highly recommend!
