I can't say enough good things about this hotel. The location is incredible, literally 2 blocks from Pier 39. Every staff member was incredibly helpful and genuinely happy and friendly. But best of all was rhe breakfast buffet. It had everything we could ask for and more, and incredibly fresh. I will be looking for Riu hotels everywhere I travel now because of this hotel!

Very convenient walking distance to Ghirardelli square. Also right up front is one of the stations for the Big Bus hop on hop off tour if you like that like we do. Pool was closed for renovations and it did not say at reservation time so that was a little but of a bummer.
Area around felt pretty safe to walk at night. Overall I would return
