Quiet and well-equipped house.
Rustic but very neat and extremely well-equipped. Fabulous yard for our dogs and very close to off-lead dog beach. Area was quiet and peaceful. The owner was very responsive to questions. All together, I would highly recommend this place.

A great place to unwind
A very pleasant stay in an original beach house with added mod cons like a dishwasher and aircon. We enjoyed the lovely tranquil setting for the humans and the fur babies to unwind and relax. Just how a beach holiday should be without too much fuss or hard work - having linen supplied made things so easy! Really enjoyed strolls along the dog beach and partaking in yummy local fare at a couple of nice eateries a short drive away.

Easy walk to the beach
Adrift was a lovely place to spend a wintery weekend with kids and the dog. Comfy beds and clean sheets. Hosts were also lovely. Don’t have anything to complain about, would consider booking again.

Adrift - not quite what we expected
We knew the house was rustic and quirky, but the photos were misleading. Unfortunately the house wasn’t well maintained and not very clean - grubby kitchen floor, curtains coming off the tracks, stained carpets, cobwebs every and the kitchen floor was really grubby. Worst if all was the very rusted BBQ which would have caused poisoning had wr used it. It is a severe health hazard. The electric grill was not clean enough to use either. Don’t falsely advertise the outdoor BBQ as an option when it clearly is not. Im thankful our friends couldn’t join us for a Saturday BBQ as the advertised outdoor dining is definitely not up to scratch and a disappointment. On a positive note however, the beds were freshly made up in clean linens and the towels were fluffy and white. Despite the bathroom being circa 1960’s, the water was hot and plentiful , the toilet was clean and flushed and there was no shortage of toilet rolls! Our dogs had a great time - they loved the yard, running around searching for the possums was such a thrill and great excitement. Such a pity the accommodations didn’t live up to expectations or the the photos on the Stayz site. With bit of TLC and some much needed upgrades, it could be a fabulous property as it’s in a lovely position.

Pleasant house and location. Secured fences for our dog. Unfortunately the cleaner, who was to organised before our arrival, hadn't cleaned. The owner contacted the cleaner straight away, and the place was cleaned.

Just what we were looking for - Adrift
Had a fabulous few nights at Adrift in Ventnor. just what my husband and I were looking for. A welcoming house that held you like a hug, surrounded by a beautiful garden, fully secured so our puppy could safely explore. She doesn't have a garden at home so was in doggy heaven. The dog beach, close by, was also fabulous. All in all, we had a wonderful time and will certainly go back.

Lovely cottage
We had a relaxing weekend at this lovely cottage. The beach was a 5 minute walk away and we really enjoyed the peaceful surroundings. It was great having our dog with us and the yard is very secure which was great.

An old style island holiday home where you can relax with your pooch
The house was well loved, welcoming and unpretentious. I stayed with my 2 4 legged “boys “ who enjoyed it as much as me. Clean with a nice hot shower and a good heater… what more do you need.

Cute little cottage, great set-up for a family travelling with a dog. Yard was very secure and good outdoor undercover deck area. Good for a very relaxed beach shack style holiday.

Fabulous place to stay with dogs
We loved our weekend at Ventnor. Dogs loved being a stones throw from off lead beach. Perfectly located for full range of activities the Island has on offer… walk to end of road for awesome beach sunsets, cliffside coastal drives, .penguins, and town. We hope to be back soon!

Adrift had all our requirements for our stay plus added bonus of local rabbit visiting the back yard and possums at night. Our little Jackie Gracie loved it and the daily runs on the "off the leash" beach.

Comfy cottage
This comfy, old fashioned cottage had everything we needed. It was well located, had nice bed linen, was warm and was terrific for our two small doggies. Very secure backyard and a dog door from the kitchen.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Adrift, my dogs and I had such a lovely time. While Adrift isn't new or flashy it was a cosy place of welcome and peace. Having the dog beach so close made long walks with the pups a delightful way to lose hours every day! Annie is a fabulous communicator and made things so easy, particularly with all the unknowns of covid it was so reassuring to know I could reschedule if anything were to have happened with regard to covid lockdowns etc. Thanks so much Annie for all your help...we'd love to come back soon! 😊🐶

Relaxed cottage feel
- we enjoyed our stay, and the outdoor decking area was a great spot to have breakfast and relax. Property is old but was clean and comfortably furnished, 13 y.o. loved it and thought it was magical! The garden is a great size and lush .... The only concern was it’s quite overgrown, & with timbers & items stacked up under the house & around the garden, we didn’t feel this is the best environment for dogs to go sniffing around in summer unfortunately 😬

A lovely quiet spot
We really enjoyed our stay. The house is charming, the garden beautiful and a walk to the beach takes just about 5-7 minutes. Importantly for us the garden was fully fenced so our dogs were safe in the garden and enjoyed exploring it. We will definitely be back.

Delightful cottage
Property is well presented, clean and in a quiet location. Pet friendly and a short walk to the off lead dog beach. Outside wood bbq which was perfect for cooking a fresh snapper from Newhaven. Overall we love this cottage and will be back in the near future.

Comfortable Cottage
The house is very well set up with everything you could want. On arrival it looked like the cleaners hadnt been there for a while. We had to vacuum as my 2 grandkids suffer from dust allergys . The garden is a nice area apart from a lot of dead and dry wood around. We used the outside for a couple of meals In the evening. All the beds are comfortable with plenty of extra blankets. The cooler was great on the hot days but upstairs was very very hot I think they could do with a small cooler up there. We will try go again maybe in the winter

Great escape location
Relaxed, older style home with large bushy garden and lawn area, great for our dog. Very enjoyable stay. Everything we needed was provided. Annie very helpful. Only downside were the mosquitos at night but that was to be expected on Phillip Island
