Although it’s a beautifully renovated building in the residential part of the old town of Velez-Málaga, the photos are somewhat misleading. Pool is a jacuzzi that is no longer functioning. Ground floor rooms are dark, with no views and portable air conditioning units. There was no wifi in our room—only in the common areas. Parking can be difficult.

Très belle demeure, genre hôtel particulier. Belle grande salle de bain. Tres bien pour quiconque est en transit. A 45 min. du centre de Malaga en voiture, trop éloigné pour le touriste. Quartier tranquille et sécuritaire. Comme tous les établissements hôteliers à 3 étoiles, les bouteilles d'eau devraient être offertes en courtoisie.

Great stay in Velez-Malaga!

Hotel Palacio Grande is located right in the centre of town, close to everything. It is a lovely old cortijo with an inner court yart, with a small swimming pool and a bar at the top floor. The rooms are really spacious, nicely decorated, have a great bathroom and the beds are very comfortable. We were greeted by a very friendly French couple, who take care of the guests and the hotel. They offered us their parking lot right in front of the hotel! We had a wonderful stay there.

Beautiful Hotel in a Quiet Location

My family and I stayed just one night at Palacio Blanco, but we enjoyed every moment. The hotel is centered around a courtyard with beautiful rooms and art decorating the walls, and an honesty bar where you can take drinks to the rooftop. The rooms were spotlessly clean with decent A/C and WiFi. Free parking is available a short walk away, and you can easily walk into the center of Velez-Malaga to find good restaurants. As we were passing through the region, the Palacio Blanco represented excellent value in comparison to staying in Malaga town, but you could also view it as a quieter place to get away from it all. Happy to recommend.

This hotel was absolutely perfect! The room was clean and spacious. The little outdoor rooftop pool and seating area was perfect for a late night spent relaxing and looking at the stars. The owner was extremely kind and so easy to work with. She made our stay wonderful. I wish we had been able to stay longer!

A little gem!

Stayed 3 nights and felt like we were honoured guests in a private home by the charming Dutch hosts. They provide lovely continental breakfasts (and even had Marmite for British guests!). There is no restaurant for lunch or dinner but there are many good restaurants within easy walking distance. The hotel operates an honesty bar which is available at any time, for hot and cold (soft and alcoholic) drinks, including a bar on the rooftop next to the little pool. The hotel is in a beautifully modernised converted monastery.

Beautiful Boutique hotel in a superb location.

Staying at the Hotel Palacio Blanco was the most enjoyable experience. The hospitality and accommodation was excellent. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel for its tranquil location in Valez Malaga and the superb hotel facilities, just what one would want from a small boutique hotel. The hosts, Christa and Jan were so welcoming and made everyone feel at home, perfect hosts. We will definitely be returning and will recommend it to all friends and family.

Excellent and welcoming hotel.

Excellent welcome. Room spotless and spacious with good bathroom and shower. Breakfast great especially the coffee. Although no dedicated parking did not seem to be problem in the nearby streets. Handy for the town with tapas bars and restaurants nearby.
