Relaxed stay in Västerås

Spacious family room, comfy beds, adequate temperature control (noticed that it was 21.5 degree at night and 22 during the day), nice breakfast, kids love the table football and table tennis, great view from the gym at 22nd floor. Overall a really good stay!

Hotel common areas were smart and modern. Its located in the heart of the town. The room was really big. So big that it is hard to understand why the bathtub/shower was positioned under the eves of the roof. I am in no way a tall (173 cm) person but could no stand upright in the shower withoit banging my head on the ceiling.

Mixed feelings, some good moments but even less good moments. Among the good stuff: the hotel was clean, the personnel was polite and friendly, the hotel has several facilities and amenities, the location is central close to several points of interest. However, some important general information didn't match reality. - "Parking available" doesn't mean that the hotel offers parking. It means there is parking nearby that costs 200 SEK extra per day. - The isolation against noise was not as good as I could hear people walking and jumping on the floor above and neighbor room. There was also a disturbing drilling that stopped after I complained. - I booked a luxury room high up with view over the city, but I got one on the 8th floor with 50% city view and rest was a boring wall. - The room was a bit cold and there was no slippers available. No extra blankets. The termostater wouldn't increase the temperature. I had to use warm clothes indoors. - I was not informed during booking that the first night there would not be electricity, no water and elevators not working between 00:00-05:00. Not that good when living on the 8th floor.
