"The chalet was well kitted out with everything you needed for a comfortable stay. It was warm and had the addition of an open fire. It took us 10 minutes to drive to the slopes each day, which was perfect and meant we were skiing before 9am, with a short drive home after. The chalet is quirky with lots of different sleeping areas, the kids loved it."

"This Chalet is fantastic and Massimo was really helpful. Very cosy, clean and beautifully presented. Photos don’t do it justice. We slept well every night and had everything we needed for one Dad and 4 young adults. Parking was convenient and we were within easy driving reach of the slopes. "Great Bear is a lovely chalet with breathtaking views in a unique environment. I cannot think of a better summer escape, given the stunning surroundings of the Val Hérens, the local cuisine, produce, meat products, and delicious wines. The chalet fits the rustic character of the tiny village perfectly, while affording the necessary comforts for an Alpine stay. Absolutely LOVED IT!!!"

"Pros: Die Lage des Hauses ist wirklich traumhaft, ruhig und mitten in der Natur. Der Gastgeber war sehr freundlich und bemüht, auf unsere Anliegen einzugehen. Cons: Das Chalet liegt landschaftlich wirklich sehr schön und die Gegend ist ruhig und ideal zum Abschalten. Der Besitzer ist sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit und war gut erreichbar – auch bei Problemen hat er schnell reagiert und sogar einen Ausgleich angeboten, was ich sehr schätze. Leider entsprach das Haus selbst nicht meinen Erwartungen....

"We were 5 people staying in Chalet @Le Du Coq Rouge' for 5 nights, while skiing in Cervinia. The house was very good overall with plenty of space and we found the location to be very good for us, with the village of Valtournanche within reasonable walking distance and the town of Certvinia around 20 minutes drive."
