"A beautiful farmhouse shaped like a fortress just outside of Calitri. The host is very accommodating and helped me make some reservations despite not speaking English/my Italian being no good. Waking up to the birds was a treat, the bed was cozy and the shower worked well. It would be fun to have a bunch of friends stay there for a week. Definitely requires a car, I thought maybe one could walk in and out of Calitri but it's an enormous vertical distance, it would take hours."

"The property was well situated for visiting Benevento. It was clean and spacious. We were there during a very hot spell and as there was no air-conditioning it was very hot in the bedrooms at night; however, there were fans provided, and it was pleasant to sit outside for evening meals."

"We are driving around southern italy just using expedia day by day. We happend upon this little gem. We booked aprox 1hr before showing up. The manager greeted us. He takes great pride in his work. The entire staff was top shelf. If you are near Emelfi this place is a must stay!! At the pool the manager checked in with us. At aperif time on the patio he came by, at dinner inside he came to check on us 2 times and at breakfast he was sweeping floors with the staff. We were very impressed!!! Gorgeous grounds, super clean rooms and our terrace over looked the back pool area."
