Gorgeous yard, thin walls
I like a lot of things about this motel, especially the pretty yard, tree, garden, benches, and windchime. Some day I will try their restaurant, but it was closed when I got there. No breakfast in the morning, but the coffee was excellent. The managers are very nice, too. The one drawback was that the people in the rooms on both sides of mine were both snorers. I could hear everything. Then, at 3:40am, the person in the room on my right woke up and started watching tv, crappy sitcoms with that awful canned laughter of 40 years ago (I banged on our shared wall twice, but no response, and I had no room telephone with which to try to contact the front desk), until they and several others on my block all left very noisily at 6am. Huge horse trailer, big deisel trucks, loud talking and slamming doors, SO NOISY. It was really awful. When I'm on a work trip, I really need a good sleep, not a bad experience like that. I was so disappointed!

Dear Firstly, I feel sorry for your inconvenience. I just ask you if your neighbour is bad, it means the problem in your house. When guests come for check-in we don't take any behiveror certificate from them. If they create news sense, watching Tv at 3am, it does not mean the problem in the Motel. Thanks

Really enjoyed our stay at Raine, lovely comfortable room and very clean. Very helpful staff/proprietor? Good to have a laundry on site and breakfast was simple but fine.

Old style motel
Good basic old-style motel. My room had a door to the outside and my car parked right outside. Convenient for walking the dog. Comfortable bed, hot shower.

Between Hotels.com and the Raine Motel I don't know who to be more upset with. My reservation was booked back in July for 99 one night and 119 a second and third night. When I checked in my rate was all jacked up to 120 and 130. This hotel is clean and that's about it. The AC was half broken, fridge was not plugged in for check in, and it was just run down.

Too bad a dump
Noise for five straight hours outside my room. Owner said at 10:30 pm there was nothing she could do. I said I would call the police. She then said she would ask the people to quiet down. She said it was summer and people were partying. She then called an said it would stop by 11. Horrible night sleep in dirty room full of flies with no seal on the door.

What I like most about being able to get into a room in a timely manner although an older facility newly renovated and updated with modern amenities what I did not like being put into a pet room that has already been soiled by other pets having to give up a $10 pet deposit which was non-refundable in which it felt like it needed additional attention prior to my arrival

Used to be great, now just ok.
Have stayed several times in the past. Still a comfortable motel but it is starting to show more wear and cleanliness standards have dropped. There was thick dust on the AC. The coffee maker was dirty. Shower heat and water pressure is good and beds comfortable. The restaurant/bar was great in the past but now closed. Breakfast was cereal, toast and yogurt...used to be better.

The rooms were old and had not been updated for too long. I was there on Kentucky Derby day and their TV program did not include any local channels or NBC which carried the Derby.

Room was freezing cold when we arrived and heat was not on. Room smelled like cigarette smoke and was dirty and outdated. There was a smoke detector but it had no battery in it. I have stayed in some rough places but this is right up there.

our room wasm update and the room wasn't dirty and we don't have any smoking rooms . the person that made this comment was drunk at the time and was asking to smoke in the room. I told him there's no smoking in the rooms.

Convenient
The Raine Motel was very convenient for our stay. We like staying in motels that have an outside door for unloading & loading baggage. It also had a restaurant next to the motel.
