"We stayed for a night. The exterior looks a bit rundown but the apartments are great. Everything works, it’s well equipped and clean. There’s also an elevator which is a major plus. Daily continental breakfast for 11 euros - honestly it’s too expensive for what they serve. You have to bring down your trash upon check out and clean the kitchen if you used it. Overall a nice stay."

"The Villa is beautiful and in a perfect location. The Villa however does require updating and some maintenance work. We did not realise the Villa does not supply any bedding or towels, so this had to be flown in and others by car which was frustrating. It would be nice if the Villa can recommend local shops, eateries and places of interest as nothing is supplied or recommended. WiFi took a few days to be sorted and both patio and pool furniture is in need a of change. Overall, lovely Villa."

"The gite was lovely and a lot bigger than we expected, but there were only 4 of us who visited. The gite had everything we needed, and the view was lovely - across the road was a vineyard, but the gite is on a road where, although cars are few and far between, they do drive far too fast. We had a lovely few days at the beginning of our holiday but on the fourth day a taxi drove into us at speed (not near the gite, on the way to Jonzac) and the hire car we were in was flipped over and ended up...

"Loved the outside area, pool is lovely and welcome with the heat in our 2nd week (~38C). Eating outside, under the cover of the wisteria plant was also a pleasure to avoid the sun. "The property could be amazing and is in the best location but it was very dirty on arrival and one of the toilets did not flush. I would say in its present state, it is not fit for rental. The beds had plastic protectors which were very sweaty! The bathrooms are quite disgusting and one of the showers was actually just a trickle. Despite this the location is fab and it is very quiet. "Lovely gite in a lovely area. We particularly enjoyed going to the port to read in the shade and enjoy a drink in the bar/restaurants. Plenty to do and see in the local area with La Rochelle and Bordeaux within 90 minutes to go further afield. Jo was very welcoming and helpful, being only 20 minutes away if needed"
