This hotel is very well placed on the most famous commercial street in downtown Budapest. Unfortunately, we had a superior room at the ground floor that was not corresponding at all to a hotel of 4 star level (as it is rated on its website). Very disappointing experience.

Staff are very friendly and helpful. Room was small but comfortable. The 24-hour coffee/tea bar is a great bonus. The breakfast is delicious with plenty of options. The hotel is in a great location—within walking distance to the most famous sights and museums. I would definitely stay at the Ikonic in the future.

I was booked in for 5 nights at Hotel Rum. When I went to the room, the lock to the door was damaged (but at least functional), which for the cost was a very poor look. When I checked out the room, the blankets on the bed were dirty, with stains that looked disturbing. I requested that they be replaced by clean ones and the young lady at reception was helpful in arranging for that, However, when that had occurred, hair was then left in the bed by whoever serviced the room. I immediately left and had to find suitable accomodation elsewhere in Budapest.
