I enjoyed the amenities very much at this property such as the kitchen utensils & spices, jacuzzi, laundry. We explored the Smoke Hole Cavern area and relaxed at the property. Great getaway spot!

Family Christmas
We love the location and accaciblity of the cabin. We did not have to bring much to cook our meals with due to a fully stocked kitchen. The Christmas tree is beautiful and I’m happy it’s been up the last 2 years we stayed. We are planning on making this a yearly trip to do Christmas with the kids. Thank you for letting us stay in your Hide Away Cabin.

An awesome house!
This is the best setup for a happy stay down in the hills. 2 bathrooms, one to each floor. Lots of room to move around, its almost impossible to get in each others way. Full kitchen set up, just bring food! Lots of sleeping choices, loved the long driveway. Make coffee in the morning, relax on the porch, watch the deer. Heck yeah! Thank you Rhona for the lovely accommodations and we'll see y'all next year!

Hideaway in the Woods
Very clean with everything one would need. HotSeneca Rock, Horseback riiding at Yokum's, fishing the North Fork of the South Potomac and other small lakes and trout streams. Dolly Sods, Spruce Knob, Blackwater Falls and the Potomac Eagle train excursion. A great place to strat your adventures!

We recently had the pleasure of staying at this secluded cabin rental for my family's vacation, and I must say it was absolutely fantastic! The cabin was nestled deep in the woods, far away from the bustling city and surrounded by towering trees. The cozy living room had a fireplace and comfortable furniture, perfect for relaxing and creating lasting memories with my loved ones. The kitchen was well-equipped, allowing us to cook delicious meals together, and the bedrooms were both spacious and cozy. We also enjoyed the peacefulness and serene beauty of the cabin's surroundings; we spent our days exploring nearby hiking trails, enjoying camp fires, the hot tub, and evenings stargazing from the porch. Wonderful place to stay!
The cabin was absolutely beautiful and the location was amazing! We went as a family vacation and it did not disappoint! We had so much fun and the cabin was stunning. It was very well kept and everyone enjoyed their stay. The owners were great and even came to check on us, which was appreciated. The kids loved it and if we want to go back to that area we would definitely stay there again!

Weekend getaway
Perfect setting surrounded by wooded area. We enjoyed evenings eating dinner on the back patio, taking a relaxing soak in the hot tub and setting by the fire making s’mores and having some adult beverages. Day time trip to Senica Rocks and spruce knob. We really enjoyed our stay.

Anniversary Weekend

Too bad five stars is the limit. The host has everything covered, from teapot to towels! Our kids built a fort in the vast woods surrounding the property. There is even a little trail/road for those who enjoy short morning jaunts. House is on a hill, so view is amazing on the side of the property. Hot tub was clean and set at a perfect temperature. Water pressure from showers is great. We hiked the moderately difficult Sawmill Loop Trail while we visited, about a half hour drive. Family Dollar is about a 15 minute drive. Beds are comfortable, plenty of pillows and blankets. Kitchen is well-equipped with appliances, dishes, cookware, and cooking tools. Plenty of lamps and outlets. Wi-Fi can’t handle too many users (I mean, with six kids, we had to kick some of them off their devices to use the internet—go figure😊) If we head back to WV next year, we already know where we are staying. Great place for a little serenity.

Hideaway Cottage
The property is exceptional. It is located in the heart of scenic WV. It is close to Seneca Rock, Smokehole and Spruce Knob. It is alslo with in a short drive to Dolly Sods, Elkins or Davis. The cottage itelf is wonderful. The beds were comfortable and we enjoyed the hot tub. Highly recommend.

The cabin was well kept and well stocked. The hot tub was just what we needed and we made great s'mores over the fire. We will definitely come back! The owners were super friendly and responsive when we accidentally locked our car keys in the cabin. Oops! We also appreciated the recommendation to drive down Smoke Hole Road. Beautiful drive. Sad to go back to reality but we'll return!

Amazing Experience
This property was a last minute find for a last minute trip to Seneca Rocks. Everything, and I mean everything, was thought of for this property. We really enjoyed our stay and plan on coming back in the future. It was immaculately clean and the bed was super comfortable. The hot tub was perfect after a long hike at Seneca. This place met our needs perfectly!!!

Relaxing Hideaway
Our family had a nice little three day vacation relaxing at the cabin. The area was beautiful. We enjoyed the hot tub and firepit. We were happy it's pet friendly and our German Shepherd got to come along. He sure enjoyed it too! The owners were very kind. They stopped by the last night we were there to check on us. Such a lovely secluded little cabin. Thank you!

The property was really clean and nice!.. we enjoyed the hot tub and the indoor/outdoor games that were there. The grocery store in Franklin is a drive but it had an excellent selection of just about anything you could need! Rona was quick to answer any questions her husband even stopped by before we left to check on us! Great place to stay!

Almost Heaven WV!
We have 4 kids between us and we needed a weekend to reset and get away from everyday life and honestly our kids needed a break from us just as much I'm sure. This cabin was amazing, it was so clean and the Kimble's are great host's! We loved sitting in the living room and seeing magazines and a simple box of tissues it was like our home away from home so personable! Thank you for opening up your little piece of heaven to us. We will definitely be back soon.

Perfect little get away
Place was great, very very clean, had absolutely everything you need to cook, from utensils pots and pans and spices. It was pet friendly, and our dogs enjoyed their stay too. The hot tub was great to relax in, It was out on the back deck with a great view of the mountains. Very secluded nice little romantic getaway. The views were breathtaking, now I know why they say almost heaven West Virginia. Highly recommend this place, to anyone just getting away together or for a whole family to enjoy.

We spent a week there and it is in line with what is described, very clean and Rhona and Hap couldn't be more helpful than they are, not that we had any issue. Simply put a perfect stay for our family of 4 (2 and 5yo kids) with a lot of space to spare. Working from there was easy with good internet and cell signal (t-mo/G Fi), the kitchen has everything you could need and the outdoor space is just huge and full of nice surprises. BBQ, hot tub or firepit? everything is working nice, plenty of outdoor and indoor games, really cannot find anything negative to say, I wish every rental was as pristine as this.

Great property for seclusion and night views. On-site hot tub, stocked kitchen, and gas heaters to help you stay warm in winter. Fully stocked laundry area as well. Internet connection spotty, just so you’re aware, but expected for location because so secluded. Wonderful stay with rustic charm yet all the amenities.

Quit Getaway!
Property was just what we needed. We come back to the area a couple times a year & it was nice to find a place where we could bring our fur babies! The setting was very peaceful & plenty of room to roam around! Convenient location! The Christmas tree was a nice surprise!

Great weekend in Upper Tract at the Hideaway
My husband and I enjoyed our weekend at the Hideaway. Rhona called after check in to make sure we had everything we needed and the house was completely stocked from the kitchen to the bathrooms and even the laundry room. The location was private and in a beautiful setting. Would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful Cabin
I honestly couldn’t think of anything negative if I tried. This cabin was loaded with everything you can think of and more! The kitchen has every utensil, tool, etc you can think of. The beds we all slept in were comfy and for myself, I even slept in a little bit one day (which I never do, but I was so relaxed). The hot tub was great, but the highlight for me was sitting on the 2nd floor porch, watching the deer run up on the hill. Sometimes when you stay at a place that isn’t yours, you’re not sure how things work (how to turn something on, etc, but every question that may come up is detailed with a note, etc. Rhona’s communication was amazing! She checked in with us, mapped us to grocery shopping when we were driving in, made herself readily available for questions, etc. It made us feel like we were staying with a family member, which is such a great feeling. The wifi worked great, you’re within 45min to anything you might want to see (Like Seneca Rocks, which was beautiful), there is a Cidery/Distillery right down the road with a pool table and dart board, restaurants, etc. The cell signals are a little weak there, but as I said, the wifi worked great and everything you need or want to see is all in the same loop of 220 and 33. There is even a map left on the fridge (everything is so thought-out at this cabin!) Thank you for such a lovely stay and hope to return next year : ) -Robin
