The accommodation is set over looking Haroldswick bay on the side of a beautiful pebble beach with superb views of the coast. The accommodation is set over looking Haroldswick bay with superb views. It is set on the side of a pebble beach with abundant birdlife, otters and seals that can be observed from the house's windows, the expansive walled garden and sun lounge. The accommodation provides an ideal base for walking, cycling, fishing, observing wildlife and investigating the rich and diverse history of the island of Unst including remains of Viking settlements, a ruined castle and fishing lochs. Locals even talk of a Viking King being buried under the grounds of the house!
Our three bedroom holiday let is perfectly placed to discover Unst. Bedrooms are all en -suite with additional downstairs toilet. The kitchen offers all facilities as well as 180 degree views of the bay and its associated wildlife. The sun room, which runs across the front of the house, allows you to dine almost in the garden whilst watching the puffins, otters and visiting orcas in the bay at the end of the garden. A cosy log burning stove sits in the main lounge were there is a tv, music and wi-fi for those that can't resist the internet. There is parking for two cars.
The position of Bordanoost means you could actually arrive by public transport as the local bus stops at the end of the garden. Located within walking distance of the main site seeing attractions and local restaurant and cafe, with a short walk up the hill to the public bar or local gin factory! Stunning views, nature and history at your doorstep, what more could you ask for?
