"This is a cute, historic home, but it does have its quirks.Pros: clean; comfortable beds; quiet neighborhood; easy check-in; good location; excellent shower water pressure; easy parking Cons: The air conditioner is a split system, with active vents only in the dining room and one bedroom. We were there in early September, and it was warm. If you are used to central AC, then this house's air conditioning may leave a lot to be desired. Luckily, we found a box fan for one room, and it did cool down over the days we were there. Outside of summer months, I am sure it is very comfortable.The other item of note is that this house only has 1 shower. There is a half-bath attached to one of the rooms, but if you have a large group staying, then you will have to schedule showers. Overall, we had a nice time in the house and in Portland."

Beautiful Back Cove Area/ "Maine the Way Life Should Be"

"Great location, in a nice quiet neighborhood. The place was very clean but just a bit cramped for the 3 of us, (all 6’ tall). I assumed that one of both of the couches would convert to a bed, but that was not the case. Instead a comfy inflatable mattress was provided, but it ate up some of the already limited space. I was also surprised that it had no stove, instead, a large microwave was provided, with which we made do. A Keurig coffee maker with many pods, and some snacks were a nice touch. Dan is very knowledgeable about the area, and provided ample local info. and restaurant recs. I also appreciated his willingness to be flexible with our arrival and departure times!"
