"Our stay at Cassia Hills Resort was amazing! Our accommodations were as expected and the amenities were great! We did stay in off season so some typical things like not being fully stocked on food items in the restaurant were expected. The staff......TOP TIER! From personalized service to accommodations when one of our group members had an accident and hurt their leg, we could not have asked for better. Sarly and Carlos made the stay, honestly, as the accommodations were plain. Both went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of and needed nothing. One thing that did take us by surprise was how far the cabin was from the entrance and it was all uphill. This is not a factor that would sway me from coming back as the grounds are beautiful, but for someone with mobility issues or physical constraints it might prove challenging."

"It is unusual for a place to live up to all the praise heaped upon it, and yet The Sleeping Giant very much did. I visited with my wife and children and we all had a remarkable time. Lovely amenities, delicious cuisine, warm staff… we just left the country and when asked what their favorite part of our 5 week trip was my children immediately said The Sleeping Giant and asked when we could go back. That’s as ringing an endorsement as any, and we wholeheartedly agree. Can’t wait to go back!"

"A gem in the middle of San Ignacio. Really central - few minutes to shops and the market/restaurants. Clean and large room for our family of 3 with 2 queen beds, rainforest shower, fantastic AC and smart TV. Spacious balcony with full table and chairs and hammock. Bar is a nice touch with very reasonable cocktails, beers and snacks. No breakfast or restaurant, but the Grind coffee shop downstairs is handy and they will bring your drinks up to the hotel bar/sitting area if ordering quite a bit. Would highly recommend as a base. We recommend Guava Limb for a nice atmospheric dinner and a visit to the Iguana Sanctuarty. We had an excellent day trip to Xunatunich combined with cave tubing in the afternoon with Belize Caving based on 46 Burns St, a minute away."

Mystic River Resort

"I had the pleasure of staying at the Mystic River Resort in Early June and the whole experience has made me fall in love with Belize. The property is immaculately maintained and incredibly clean, my room was upgraded free of charge which included a plunge pool on the balcony which definitely added to the experience !. The property overlooks the Macal river which adds an ethereal vibe to the whole experience and is surrounded by a myriad of varying wildlife. The staff really re-defined amazing hospitality for me, they were both kind and always went the extra mile whenever required no ask was too big or too small and they are true credit to the establishment, service was always presented with a smile and their was no forceful upselling and everything was done in a kind and appreciative manner. The food was also something out of this world with a selection of Belizean, American and both Mayan and Garifuna food available. The excursions on offer were also varied and exciting and health and safety was always prioritized and they were easy to book onto. I truly miss seeing the humming birds at breakfast flying in and out of the restaurant and the sound of the river and the toucans in the evening. Overall it has re-defined what true hospitality and experience means to me and have thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience so much so I cannot wait to return !."
