The house was great. Clean and nicely decorated. Great place to hang out. The host was friendly and available when needed. Would definitely stay again.
I couldn't have picked a better place to stay. We were in Vermont to visit our daughter in Burlington. The drive out to the house was beautiful. It was so peaceful to sit outside in their sitting areas. The inside of the house was amazing with so much history. They thought of everything. I wish now we would have stayed longer. We will definitely be back.

Ten Springs Farm stay was perfect for our 3-generations family Christmas holiday. Warm welcome from Bob and his sisters: homemade waffle batter, VT maple syrup and chocolates from Snowflake Chocolatier in Underhill. The house was furnished well: kitchen well stocked: good pans, dishes, spices, gas stove and a dishwasher. Game closet and a separate child’s play area well done! We really didn’t need our puzzles and games. Outdoors, they provided a toboggan and sled, ski rack. Room for 2 cars. W/D to keep up laundry. They had some clever ideas if I were to own a BnB: towel sets all 6 guest got different color, nice toiletries - local brand attached in showers. Best features include the great outdoors with easy access. Casey Hill and the farmland in walking distance. Also if you want down hill it’s nearby and you aren’t paying high price for lodging. We actually skipped downhill skiing and opted on spending time playing games, and visiting local spots. It was below zero with windchill so we were happy to get family time playing Game of Life. Thank you Bob for being a great host.
I am always hesitant when I hear "farm house" because it can run the gamut, but Ten Springs Farm has it done right ! Beautiful renovation with comfortable and well appointed modern amenities. 5 adults and one dog had a wonderful stay. There are a few trails right around the property that allowed us to get out and about after a long drive. Host was very welcoming and thoughtful with a gift basket and waffle batter ! I would highly recommend.
We really enjoyed the stay, close to Bolton Valley and Smuggler’s Notch. Bob was a terrific host! The house was clean and comfortable with everything we needed, including a bottle of wine and waffles! The cool book collection was an added treat. The place has a really nice mid-century meets farmhouse style. It was great to be able to walk outside directly onto the XC ski trails. A hike to the top of Mt. Mansfield rounded out the long weekend. Definitely hope to come back.
My family and I all enjoyed our stay. Our party consisted of my immediate family of six adults and three children under 3. We were in town for a family member’s wedding and had a very busy schedule with little downtime. The property was very accommodating and suited our needs. The only drawback is the owner lives in an attached apartment and will involve himself in your stay at every opportunity from the moment you arrive until the moment you leave. He, his sister, and his partner were all very kind and hospitable, but staying here is more like staying with your distant relative who is keeping tabs on your whereabouts than a private vacation rental.
Ten Springs Farm afforded our party of four a restful, memorable winter stay. Winter sports enthusiasts will appreciate the convenience of nearby fields and trails for Nordic skiing or snowshoeing - practically right out the door. We loved the comfortable ambiance of the house itself: the sunlit living room, impressive selection of quality books, reading material, board games, and spacious kitchen, fitted with all the essentials as well as a few special touches. We appreciated Bob's quick responsiveness and accessibility when a few minor issues popped up related to extreme cold weather. He was right on it, and we didn't miss a beat. The owners' affection for this family homestead and its history is reflected throughout with many homey touches and interesting memorabilia. We'd love to visit again in the warm weather for a different seasonal experience.
We chose Ten Springs farm due to its location; being about 15 minutes from my son’s house. We were in Vermont for his wedding. It turned out to be a lovely property with large picture windows framing the most idyllic view of the hills, trees and even a couple cows. It was very peaceful. We actually couldn’t sleep there but had our other adult children and one grandchild stay as my husband had developed mobility issues that kept us from being able to use upstairs bedrooms. The owners were wonderful about answering our questions as we had to deal with the unexpected problem with lodgings. We spent our days there. The kitchen was well equipped and we enjoyed the mid-century modern vibe.
We have been looking for a home away from home where we can base ourselves on visits to our son who homesteads nearby. We have a well behaved 18 month old dog who joins us when we travel, we love to hike, bike and be outdoors, and we love to cook at home and gather around the kitchen table. This home was a perfect match to these needs and interests. There are cows who graze in the fields abutting the back yard and viewable from the big windows on the first floor. So, just be aware of this if your dog will feel compelled to bark in response to their presence. Our dog did not bark when visiting with them near the fence, he simply was often be eager to get outside to visit once he eyeballed them. There are blinds that allow one to block the view when helpful and we found that took care of things when our dog became over enthusiastic about their presence. Access to hiking all over the Underhill/Smugglers side of Mount Mansfield is fantastic as house is situated in close proximity to Mountain Road and Stevensville Road trail heads and parking. Road cycling and mountain biking is gorgeous in this area. Road cyclists with tires suited to some dirt and light gravel will allow for the best back roads to be included in your routes. Beds are very comfortable, kitchen is well stocked, and house is very eco friendly in its management which we deeply appreciated. The hosts are wonderful and we are eager to return soon. We have indeed found the home away from home we were looking for.
Bob was an excellent host. He had prepared for us a waffle mix to make homemade waffles along with local maple syrup and some treats. Very well laid out with lots of personal touches. We very much enjoyed our stay.
I can't say enough about this wonderful place! The home itself is just perfect for our extended family. It is pet-friendly, there is a beautiful backyard and dog walking field that borders the property. Most of all, the house is just so comfortable. Beautifully, thoughtfully designed and decorated and supplied. There are so many nice details, big windows in the kitchen with outstanding view, several natural gathering places, especially the kitchen and living room. We did not have young children, but ooh, if you do, what an OUTSTANDING playroom! The beds are super comfortable. And communication with the host really easy and clear. I just love this gorgeous rental.
We truly enjoyed our stay at Ten Spring Farm. The house was lovely and had everything we needed. It was also nicely situated from Burlington and other fun VT attractions.
Our group of 6 ages 18-22 (5) and over 40 (1) had a fabulous time at this well appointed home and grounds
would 10/10 recommend- the only thing that could've been better was if we could have stayed one more day
Loved the house and location to wedding site , but we were all young professionals and thought the booklet of rules waiting for us was pretty severe. Please also wait till at least 9am on a Sunday morning to knock on guests door, as 8 am was way to early. I would recommend your beautiful farmhouse, but please do not list it as pet friendly.
