Beach flat on the Dolphin Coast:-)

I needed a place near King Shaka Airport to spend a night after a long flight from Dubai and Umdloti is about the easiest and closest, so I booked online through Expedia and got a good price too. The waves that morning of the Thursday 4 June were the highest they'd been for years and the early morning view was wonderful. I arrived very late and the watchman had all my details and let me in. My only regret was not being able to stay longer, as I had to drive to my destination the next morning. The place was modern, spacious and comfortable and i will certainly put it on my do-again list!

Dolphin view home away from home

This was our second stay @ Dolphin view cabanas, it was very enjoyable for all. Hotel was clean and staff were friendly and helpful. Self-catering apartment was well organised. Only issue was the children's play area, most of the games didn't work. The local beach is fantastic away from the hustle and bustle. Very non-commercial area, exactly what we were looking for.

Nära havet!

Bra lägenhetshotell men fräsch inredning och välstädat. Dock är wi-fi delen en utmaning. Köpte extra wi-fi men kunde aldrig utnyttja den då nätet låg nere. Vid ankomst fick vi ett underbart mottagande med snabb incheckning och hjälp med bagaget upp till vår lägenhet. Wi-fi till trots så rekommenderar vi detta lägenhetshotell. Perfekt som man vill ta det lugnt några dagar och passa på att sola och bada, dock inte så jättestort utbud av restauranger vilket gör att några dagar räcker.

The room was large and well supplied. The major drawback was the Air Conditioning unit did not work, blew hot humid air and the front desk closed just after we checked in so there was no one to contact about moving rooms. The location is great and the security handled very well. The bed was nice and the kitchen well outfitted.

Relaxing seaside stay

Dolphin View Cabanas offers good value, well located self catering accommodation on the North Durban coast in Umdloti Adequate local facilities including cafes, bars & restaurants. Good sandy beach and rocks.

Good place - but wifi a problem

I spent eight days here, and overall it is very nice, perfect for the beach and the local restaurants. The one issue is the wifi, which never worked in my time. It needs to be completely overhauled. Otherwise regular visits to the nearby cafe are necessary!

I had clothing stolen from my room. I reported it to reception and to this date no one has contacted me with any feedback. No apology or anything. I enjoyed Dolphin View but this lack of communication left me feeling that they don't really care.

Lovely apartments in a pleasant seaside village

Umdloti is a small seaside resort and the Dolphin View apartments are well equiped self catering units close to the small supermarket and 2 restaurants. They are only let down by poor local staff who initially denied that the lack of internet was their problem and inconsistent cleaning. The monkies provide great breakfast entertainment but take care as they might get too close and join you.

Excellent location. So close to the beach .

Loved the room. The decor is lovely . Loved the gas stove and the bed linen. The apartments are so clean . I really loved the hotel.
