The nearby beaches are of various types, sandy, pebbly, concrete, rocky, for every taste. The area is one of the few where the coast changes shape and type every few hundred meters and abounds in vegetation near the sea where you can shelter from the sun during the hottest hours of the day.

The picturesque artists' village Grožnjan has a beautiful terrace from which you can enjoy a magnificent view over the Mirna river valley. Motovun, the typical medieval town located on a hill, known for the film festival, which has been taking place in late July for years. Livade, the town known for its white truffle found in the nearby woods. For lovers of astronomy and wishing to admire the sky and the stars, visit the Višnjan Astronomical Center, 30 km from Umag, by appointment. For cave enthusiasts, visit the small marvelous Baredine cave just 15 km from Umag. Don't miss the chance to visit Hum, the smallest city in the world just 60 km from Umag. Also interesting are the cities on the coast such as Pula, Rovinj and Poreč, as well as the Brijuni National Park which can also be visited with organized excursions. Various "Fish picnic" boat trips are organized, with picnics based on fish or meat during which you will have the opportunity to visit Rovinj and Poreč or Novigrad. Many tourists are interested in the wonderful day trip to Venice by hydrofoil. To the delight of children, visit the Istralandia water park 20 km from Umag and the Funtana "Dino park" theme park, where fun is guaranteed and makes the hearts of young and old beat faster.
