great gym & pool area . the staff is excellent. i don't like that parking has increased to $45 but that's the only negative

The hotel is in a great location. The breakfast is adequate. The rooms are clean. No bells and whistles, but a good choice at a fair price.

I have stayed at Jamaica Bay at least six times over the last 10 years. Each time, I have been extremely pleased with the experience. So many things stand out...staff, location, safety, rooms and amenities. Every single member of the staff is helpful and friendly. The hotel is located right in front of the family-friendly Mother's Beach where families spend the whole day picnicking and playing in the water. For those looking for a more carnival atmosphere, Venice Beach is just a 10-15 minute walk. As a single traveler, I have always felt very safe at Jamaica Bay. The spacious rooms are always well stocked with amenities. My room included a mini frig. I got a microwave for a small daily fee. I did not try the on site restaurant this time. But, there are many restaurants, both quick serve and more formal, within easy walking distance. I definitely recommend Jamaica Bay and I will be staying there again.

We loved everything about the property..the location, cleanliness, professional and personable staff members. If I had to add something to make it convenient for anyone staying at the property, it would be room service. They do have tons of restaurants surrounding the property, which is great. I personally love to order room service sometimes when I dont feel like getting out.
