It is very clean, charming, and perfect location. We easily walked to the park and bakery. The neighborhood felt safe and friendly. It’s a great vacation base.
Great house located near Ukiah. We were there on business with a crew of 5 works. We had plenty of space, with quiet surroundings and a very clean and beautiful home. Owner was easy to communicate with, instruction were clear and easy! I will definitely come back when we return for more work!
A nice house in a quiet neighborhood of Ukiah. Close to restaurants and stores, just what we needed. We used the home for a post retreat couple of days, needing some downtime. In the hotter days of summer, the house needs some more ceiling fans and/or a small AC unit to move a bit more air. All in all it was just right.
We stayed here for four nights for a girl’s retreat/craft getaway. Everything was wonderful! Beds are super comfortable and the yard was perfect for our little four-legged guy. Great little house! Our only issue, and it is a small one, is that we weren’t able to cook all of the meals we had planned. There could be a few more pans…. A pasta pot and a cookie sheet would be nice! Plus, without a garbage disposal or a dishwasher, it made cleanup a little harder. But we would absolutely stay again and would recommend this house!!
Hon's place is bigger and prettier than the pictures suggest. It is also well-stocked with just about anything you might need. I arrived on a really hot day and was worried that the two air conditioners (one in the primary bedroom and the other a portable unit in the living room) would be insufficient for cooling -- and it did take several hours to cool the space. But after that, it was incredibly comfortable, even on the hottest day.
The location is also excellent, near the center of town and also near a wonderful park and hiking. I highly recommend Hon's listing and hope to stay there again.
It could use a bigger cooling system, when it 105 outside the portable conditioner,is not doing the job, could use bigger side tables in the bedrooms,a small dresser in the smaller bedroom, fans would greatly help,on the ceiling, maybe a cable tv system so you can watch movies, and not have to pay,a bench outside to sit and take your shoes off,,other then that the place was beautiful inside bright and clean, neighbors were quite, liked listening to the birds in the morning,,,I would consider staying there in the fall,
I was up in Ukiah with a group of friends and wanted a place that was walkable to downtown. Jon’s place was just a 10 minute walk to the Black Oak Coffee and Ukiah Brewing, which was perfect. The house clean and as updated as the pictures show other than the master bathroom. Also from the master bathroom the water ran brown for a few seconds when we turned it on, I assume the show just hadn’t been turned on in a while. Communication with Hon was great up until the week of our trip - not sure if they were on vacation but I asked if we’d be able to request an early check as my group was up here for a wedding and had a welcome party to get ready for our first evening and Hon just never replied (I followed up a few times). Check in information was delivered when it said it would be delivered at least. One last thing is that it would have been helpful to list the check out instructions in the check instructions area rather than in just a direct message. Overall a great stay and I would recommend to others!
When we walked in the house felt cozy & inviting. When we left, we all said we want to stay here when we come back to Ukiah next time. It was very close to downtown (where we had an event to go to), which made everything very convenient to get to ( grocery store, restaurants, shops, etc.
We really liked the house. Everything was charming, neat, and clean. The kitchenware was lovely, and the mattresses suited us perfectly. Everything felt thoughtfully arranged. Just one little cherry missing on top of the cake — tea is absolutely essential… both black and green. The air conditioners were powerful, and the neighborhood was pleasant. Thank you for the wonderful home!
It was a quick trip for grandson’s soccer tournament. The game was a bit delayed so I requested for a check out time extension and it was granted. Thanks again.
The owner/host has no business operating any sort of vacation rental, as they are not in compliance with the laws in the State of CA.Upon arrival:Incorrect entry code / unsafe check-inThe code provided to enter the home was incorrect. As a result, my 72-year-old mother had to stand outside while we waited for a response. The delay and lack of timely communication was extremely stressful and unacceptable.Broken heater / freezing temperatures inside the homeWhen we finally entered, the heater was not working and the home was freezing. Space heaters were later brought over, but they were not sufficient to heat the home. My entire family, including my 72-year-old mother, froze all night. No extra blankets providedThere were no extra blankets available, which only worsened the situation given the lack of heat.Lack of appropriate response and resolutionPoor communication and lack of urgencyThe lack of communication and delay in addressing these issues has been unacceptable and has significantly impacted our stay.Under California habitability requirements, working heat is considered an essential service and part of the implied warranty of habitability (including standards reflected in California Civil Code § 1941.1). Portable space heaters are not an adequate substitute for a functioning permanent heating system. The average temperature was 42 degrees the entire weekend we were there (typical February weather). I would caution anyone staying there.
