My parents had a lovely Christmas in a house which was comfortable, warm, exceptionally clean and they wanted for nothing. The host was really kind and welcoming and the village (including the fabulous pub!) is a really lovely place to stay with friendly locals, set in a beautiful valley in the Welsh mountains.
