In addition to the local attractions, there are several must-visit places nearby including Red Wharf Bay, a short drive away, which is known for its stunning natural beauty and picturesque coastline. It’s a great spot for birdwatching, beachcombing, and enjoying a peaceful seaside atmosphere.

Moelfre is a charming coastal village that is just a short drive from Tyn Y Gongl. It is known for its maritime history and is home to the RNLI Moelfre Lifeboat Station and the Seawatch Centre, where you can learn about the area’s rich maritime heritage.

The caravan is ideally situated for those interested in exploring the Anglesey Coastal Path, which offers breathtaking views of the coastline and access to secluded coves and beaches. Beaumaris Castle, a little bit further afield but well worth the visit, Beaumaris Castle is a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the most impressive castles in Wales. It’s a great place to explore history and enjoy panoramic views of the Menai Strait. Plas Newydd House and Gardens, on the opposite side of the Menai Strait, is a National Trust property with beautiful gardens, woodland walks, and a historic house with an impressive art collection. With a range of local attractions within easy reach, there’s something for everyone to enjoy during their stay. Beach 1¾ miles.

We had a fantastic time.

We had a fantastic time. Very peaceful and a great base for walks. Jean and Keith were very friendly and helpful. Benllach was only a short walk away, so handy to pick up supplies. Also, the California Hotel pub was only 1 mile away, so again easy to walk to and dog friendly.
