Always a good time to get away

Gracious lake front cottage

A beautiful, quiet stay on a lovely lake that recharges you for the "real world"! Our hosts were kind and concerned about the details of our stay. Highly recommend!

Grandkids annual vacation

We have been coming to holly lake for grandkids trip for many years. The Dossey house was so wonderful and the grandkids enjoyed being right on the water. They caught 4 bass from their beautiful dock.

Dossey cottage

As a fisherman the Dossey cottage was perfect.Being just strps from the water was great. The homeowener and his wife were very inviting and more than willing to help.with any needs. I would highly recommend this property toanyone looking for a beautiful getaway with golf and fishing being top notch. I look forward to the next trip.

Awesome Place

Our party was 5 adults. My husband, our two sons and our grandson. Wives weren’t able to come . Had a great time. Guys played golf and fished, fished and fished. The house was great. So good to be able to dock boat at the property. Look forward to coming again.

We enjoyed our stay at the Dossey house! Dennis was a great communicator and very friendly. The back porch and view of the lake were great! The location of the house within the Holly Lake Ranch community was also a bonus -- close to everything!

Beuatiful location

The lake, that was right out our back door, was beautiful and so peaceful. The house was cozy, comfortable and just darling. Golf course was well kept and beautiful as well. Dennis was very accommodating as was his wife, they were very informative and friendly. We had all the privacy we desired and will certainly return when time and life allows.

Thanksgiving Crew 2024

We had an AMAZING time with Family and Friends! This home is wonderful and has great views. If you're a fisher you will be thrilled. If you enjoy sipping on coffee, tea, or whatever, you'll enjoy the back porch. I can't say enough about Dennis, he is extremely welcoming. Our experience was a 10 out of 10.

Relaxing getaway in a beautiful home and neighborhood

Spacious guesthouse. Neighborhood is upscale, beautiful, quiet, and the property is very close to the lake. Enjoyable to sit on the porch and relax with our friends. Nicely furnished and decorated and everything needed for our weekend stay. Good Internet access. Owner was easy to communicate with and available if needed. Bottom line, we give this property a five star rating!

Girls weekend

This was our 2nd time here and they didnt disappoint. This property is amazing. We came back for the tranquility and view of the property. It was very clean and ready for us upon arrival. The property owners are very sweet and personable people who communicate very well and they aways made themselves available to us. From the house to the boat, it was one fantastic much needed trip away, and we cant wait to return.

Beautiful

The lake house was beautiful and the host was above and beyond friendly. He and his wife were available when needed but did a great job giving us our group privacy. It made for such a pleasant experience. And the added touch of the home baked cookies upon our arrival was the perfect touch. The house was clean and did I say beautiful?? The community had fabulous amenities, too. I would highly recommend this rental for your next Texas vacation.

Tranquility Awaits

Our family met here to spend time together during the holidays. We absolutely loved the property. My grandson said he wished we lived there. The peaceful tranquility of enjoying coffee on the porch and looking out across the lake early each morning was wonderful. We played games, laughed a lot, ate way too much and made lasting memories. Our hosts were so warm and welcoming. We are already talking about our next visit.

Excellent Family Trip

Even from before we booked this location, Dennis provided excellent communication from the start. The home was clean and provided everything we asked for and then some. The four bedrooms worked out amazingly well, and even the singles were comfortable. Our family enjoyed an extended weekend fishing on the lake and enjoyed time in the home. The pool was closed at the time we visited so we can't provide info there. But, we couldn't have asked for more. We would love to come back!

Accomidating Host

I was unwell the first day so my family checked in without me. Our host were awesome. We were seeking quite and scenic, Great Lake view. We sat by the fire by the lake. It rained several days so we played games. Wonderful family time. My 4 year old grandson caught his first fish. My 2 year grandson loved working the puzzles found in the drawer.

What a fantastic getaway!

The photos don't begin to convey the peacefulness of this property! The guesthouse sits right next to the water, so it is wonderful to look out to the lake from both the living area as well as the dining area. I loved sitting on the rocking chairs on the porch and enjoying the view out on the lake. Even though it was warm, there was a bit of a breeze and there were no mosquitoes. We took the boat out around the lake and enjoyed seeing the homes on the other side of the lake. Dennis and Melanie were amazing hosts, answering all our questions and having everything ready for our visit. The guesthouse has a well supplied kitchen and bathrooms. It was a wonderful stay and I highly recommend this property!

Dreamy Lakeside Family Stay

We had such a wonderful time at this guest house! Although it’s a guest house, it housed us, our two littles, best friends and their littles. Mr Dossey is detailed in directions and communications. Making everything easy to access. We all enjoyed this escape for the end of summer. The beach access to the lake is good for little swimmers and the dock provided many opportunities for cannonballs. The view of the lake is mesmerizing and you could sit there at any time of the day/night and get lost in the sound or stillness of the waves. We had a fabulous time and created memories here that will last a lifetime!
