This is an amazing wee cottage and although we have bunks and can have 3 people staying it is much better suited for 2 people.

Charming cottage overlooking a working sheep station. LotR fans will recognize the ajacent area, owned by the same family, as the site of the Pelennor Fields battle scene. Very convenient for day hikes in Mt. Cook National Park. No frills accommodation, but the cute little town of Twizel is a 5 minute drive away, and one can find all the basic food and supplies there.
Easy place to stay for 4 nights. Very functional kitchenette, comfortable queen bed, everything worked. Hosts were unobtrusive but answered all queries immediately.
Lovely stay in small cosy cottage on sheep property.Although we didn't see any sheep, the stay was perfect for us. Close to the little town, fishing and bike tracks.
We absolutely loved our stay at Hill Cottage. Sitting on the sunny verandah in the peaceful surrounds with a great view was very enjoyable. The starry sky at night was amazing! It was also a great base for exploring the area, including Mt Cook, and a super easy short drive to town for supplies or meals. We would highly recommend a visit!
Priscilla and Simon gave us a warm welcome, lovely modern cottage amid Ben Ohau Station, and a lovely, relaxing experience. Highly recommend and will definitely book again. A+++
So handy to Twizel and Alps to Ocean Cycle Trail yet far away enough to have a high country experience. The site is elevated so there are fabulous photo ops from every window - possibly the best loo view I have ever seen! The deck is handy for sunrise and sunset viewing. A lot of care has gone into furnishing and there are nice personal touches like books and artworks of the MacKenzie Country. Excellent base for exploring the area and having a very well equipped kitchen and laundry means it is fully self contained - we didn't need to eat out. Exceeded expectations and highly recommended.

Loved the outlook, and being so close to Twizel! It meant after a long day socialising we could wind down. Just beautiful! Would recommend having a clothes horse as we hung our clothes around the rooms as the clothes line was in shadow at the end of the day. But it was no biggie and I'm sure if we had have asked the hosts would have provided something, they were also just super lovely and accommodating!
We had this as our base to explore the region. So this was a comfortable haven to come home to.
Very private. Prestine. Lovely property and land to explore. Hosts were really lovely.
Loved our stay at Ben Ohau farm’s hill cottage. Amazing views, everything we needed, tastefully decorated, and sooo relaxing. Lots of great walks & lakes in the area too. You won’t be disappointed.
