Riverfront Cabin|Fireplace|Fire pit | White Mountains| Hiking
Relax at this beautiful spot located on the Ammonoosuc River. The sound of the river and the views of the mountains are amazing. Enjoy the fire pit with S'mores. Keep an eye out for the bald eagles and local wildlife. This 3 bed 2 1/2 bath (4 bed 3 1/2 if the "Bear Den" is rented see details. Sleeps 8 without the Bear Den) is the perfect space for families and couples and to get away from it all.
The house is located on the river, has a firepit, and is great for families and couples. The upstairs has 3 bedrooms 2 1/2 baths - First floor master has a new California King bed, the second floor has one bedroom with a Queen Bed and another bedroom with two Queen log beds. If the In Law unit "Bear Den" is rented (additional charge) - add an additional new King log bed and a pull out leather queen sofa and full bath making the house a 4 bedrooms 3 1/2 baths. The "Bear Den" is a perfect option for families and couples as it is a true in law unit which is NOT included in the upstair rental. It has a bedroom with a king bed, kitchen, living room, pull out queen leather sofa couch, which sleeps 2, walk out patio, and connects to the upstairs unit. If not rented it is locked off. We NEVER rent out the house to separate groups. The "Bear Den" is a separate unit with its own entrance and has a staircase connecting to the upstair unit. There is Air conditioning in the "Bear Den" but is it rarely needed. The snow mobile trail is across the street and it is a 7-8 min drive to Bretton Woods and a 14 min drive to Cannon.
Located in the White Mountains this neighborhood is quiet and close to all the Bretton Woods, Mt. Washington area has to offer.
The house is directly on the Ammonoosuc River and the snowmobile trail is right across the street. There is plenty of parking enough for snow mobile trailers.
We require a rental agreement to be signed and a security deposit.

My mom and my stay was fantastic! Mark was an excellent host and made things easy and communicated well. The house and property itself was stunning with amazing views of the surrounding landscape and river. The entire place was clean and well decorated. Would definitely stay there again with more family and friends as it was very spacious, more than enough room for my mom and I for the night, but great place to wake up in.
We enjoyed our stay in Twin Mountain, NH. The house was clean, set in a beautiful area with lots of options for outdoor activities. We will come back to this location again.
Our family had an amazing time at this beautiful home. It was well equipped with everything that we needed. The checkin process was easy and the owner checked in to ensure we had everything we needed. We’d definitely stay here again!
Our group of adults, children and dogs had a great time at Bald Eagle a River House for a week. The home is spacious, clean and full of the amenities needed for a nice stay. The outdoor views are stellar and the river was enjoyed on the warm days. Thanks Mark for a great stay!
Comms with the owner were great. clean and inviting. Bears right across from us, eagles letting a hawk know it intruded their territory right in front of us at a bit over eye level, deer, the river...would go again!
We really enjoyed our stay at the Bald Eagle River House. The house is spacious and we loved the working fireplace. The house is located in a quiet neighborhood with the most incredible views of the river and mountains. Thanks Mark for being a great host!
Beautiful home and location! The house was packed with everything you would need for a long weekend and longer! A riverside home with majestic views including bald eagles!! We will be back in time for fly fishing in the spring/summer and fall!!!
Beautiful view, lazy river rides, catching trout, bonfires and s’mores and a large enough yard to play badminton and frisbee. What more can you ask for?? We had a great time, thanks for letting us stay in your wonderful home!
Thanks to Mark we had a blissful Thanksgiving w our friends and family. The house was cozy, full of beautiful details abd very clean. It was snowy Thanksgiving so we spent most of our time indoor, but the kids had fun with watching TV, playing games, and making smores near the fireplace.
Everyone in our party enjoyed their stay at the Bald Eagle house. We even saw the eagle several times and caught trout right from the backyard. I'm 74 and went upriver and tubed safely down to the house several times. The walk on the ski mobile trail to the 2nd pond was very enjoyable. We had 9 in our party and everyone had their privacy. The house was very clean and slept 9 people comfortably. Would love to go back and stay for a 2nd week next summer
Just returned from a 3 night stay and our group was very impressed. Mark is a fantastic host and he really cares about his guests. We had an issue with the grill and he came out immediately to take a look. I didn’t expect that. The house is stunning and the sleeping areas are spread out so each family had their own space. The river view is amazing and we got to see a bald eagle. Spent a lot of time walking up and down the river just enjoying the peace and tranquility while others in our group went to Santa’s Village and Lost River. Checked out the local pubs and did some shopping too. We felt very welcome the minute we walked in with an information packet and a couple of complimentary mugs sitting in the counter. Highly recommend this property and hope to return one day. Thank you Mark for a beautiful 3 day weekend.
Upon pulling into the driveway we were welcomed with gorgeous river views and a beautifully landscaped yard.
Approaching the main porch there is ample built in seating and a convenient grill.
Entering the home you are greeted with a bear themed “mountain house” feel. Natural light is abundant in the living room and kitchen areas. What we especially liked was the forethought of the placement of windows, there really isn’t a bad view to be had.
The kitchen was well stocked with all the appliances and conveniences you would need.
A highlight for our family was both the deck off the dining room as well as the patio underneath.
The River view is top notch, the way it winds through the property and the sounds it produces are very calming and therapeutic.
We had the privilege of seeing an American Bald Eagle every day we were there. What a sight to see in their natural environment.
Nights can be spent listening to some good tunes and making s’mores around the fire pit situated right near the river.
This home and property was a dream come true, and Mark was very attentive and punctual if you needed anything at all. It was our families pleasure to stay here and we would not hesitate to visit again.
We had a great stay at the riverfront cabin. What a beautiful location and central to everything we wanted to do while there. Well stocked house, clean, and spacious. The outdoor spaces were great as well, we used them all. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
This house exceeded all of our expectations! Pictures don't do it justice! It was spacious with plenty of space to move around and kitchen was well equipped. The check-in process was smooth and the instructions left on the coffee table were easy to follow. Will definitely stay here again!
Had an amazing time staying at the river front cabin! The mountain view is incredible. The cabin is immaculate and the backyard was great. Had a nice fire in the pit overlooking the river. Would 100% stay here again.
There were 3 couples who stayed at this property. This was kne of 3 that we stayed in on our trip to the Northeast. This was by far all of our favorite. Mark was very easy to work with and the property was exactly as described. We will definitely rent this place again.
Wonderful home. Well equipped kitchen - crock pot, insta pot rolling pin and pie plate. Not all kitchens are so prepared! The water pressure and temp are excellent! But the best part is the location. What a view! We saw a beaver on the river… so peaceful. The fireplace was a delight- The host is very responsive and helpful. We felt right at home- some rentals feel like a rental… this felt like home away from home. Look forward to coming again!
This home was absolutely stunning. There is a ton of space inside and out for our family to enjoy our stay here. It's certainly decorated to make you feel right at home. Even before leaving, we had all agreed that we will visit again.
