"This place is amazing. We’ve never experienced this combination of being only 10 minutes from restaurants and shops but feeling like you were hours from civilization at the same time. Coffee on the porch in the morning, listening to the deer and other wildlife. After dinner relaxation on the elevated bluff in the backyard, listening to a different assortment of nature sounds. The cabin is great. Well stocked and very clean, the pictures speak for themselves. But for me, this place is all about location. Multiple trails accessed directly from the property. Bluffs, caves, river beds. Only a 5 minute walk to Beaver Lake. We didn’t see another person, or vehicle, the entire time. It really felt like we had our own private hiking trails. The price was a touch higher than we normally spend for our “local” weekend trips, but it’s 100% worth it. We will be back, and will bring some friends or family next time to share this with. (And maybe give em a scare with the sasquatch encounter package)I almost hate to leave a 5 star review, it only makes it harder for my next trip to have availability when I want it! "

"This stay was disappointing and did not match the expectations set by the listing.The property is described as a private, peaceful cabin, but in reality it is a shared structure with very thin walls and other guests directly adjacent. Noise carries easily, and you can hear everything from neighboring units. On our first night, we were woken multiple times, including around 3am, due to loud noise, including children, making it very difficult to sleep or relax.We contacted the host about the noise, but the issue was not meaningfully addressed and no solution was provided.Additionally, the jacuzzi had a strong odor and was not usable for most of our stay. Someone was sent to “fix” it, but the issue persisted. Host responses focused more on cleaning explanations than resolving the problem. We even had to purchase cleaning supplies ourselves to try to improve it, which is not expected in a paid rental. Nor did it fix it.Basic supplies were also lacking. No trash bags were provided anywhere on the property, and we had to supply our own to avoid trash buildup. The Blackstone grill was not clean on arrival, and there was no sink or setup to wash utensils after use.While the listing mentions other guests, on a 5 acre property, it does not clearly communicate that walls are shared or how much noise carries.Overall, this did not feel like a private or restful getaway, and I would not recommend it for anyone seeking quiet or privacy."

"Very disappointed with everything except for the beautiful view at the end of the property. We actually left one day earlier to go find another property. This was my worst experience ever at Eureka Springs."

"The property was wonderful, living areas outside and in were great. Very clean property and had everything you need. We enjoyed the lake access. And most importantly, a delightful yellow cat who came to visit us occasionally who brought so much joy couldn’t believe he’s not mentioned in other reviews. The only thing I will say as a heads up to guests, the road to get there is rough in a couple spots. We had an SUV and if you take your time it was okay but someone in a car might have issues. It was a deterrent to going back out once you were home, but really not a bad thing. "

"*** INFESTED WITH BATS *** After checking in we noticed animal feces all over one of the properties. On the bed, under pillows, floor, dresser, completely disgusting. I was concerned it was from bats, which would be a big health hazard, not that you’d stay in a place that was infested with mice either. I tried to get someone to help, it was challenging. I called 5 or 6 times, no one called back, no one felt any urgency. Finally got a hold of someone the next day, we had to sleep on couches, even then the sense of urgency was lacking. I expressed concern over bats, ultimately that was completely dismissed by the owner who apologized (second to last day of trip) for mice, while acknowledging it was cleaned up, geez thank you. Cleaning crew showed up late day 2, but no one would sleep in an animal infested house, so beds were moved to other building and people slept on floors. I kept telling them if it’s bats, it’s a health hazard you can’t ignore, no one seemed to care. I was refunded 1/3 our cost: for only being able to use 1/2 the building, sleeping on floors and couches and spending time on vacation dealing with this, I thought that was very poor taste. Exterminator came last day, and it was determined it was infested with bats. Not even bothering going into other issues like tubs that don’t drain. Communication was poor, if health agency was called they would shut down the place and issue fines."
