The best area to stay in Turanzas is around the main village, particularly focusing on properties that offer easy access to both the village amenities and the surrounding natural beauty.

The village of Turanzas itself is quite compact, with a central church and a few local eateries and shops. It's located in a valley, offering a peaceful setting with views of the Picos de Europa mountain range. The main road through the village connects you easily to larger towns and the coast.

For families, staying within or just outside the main village is ideal. Many properties here are traditional Asturian houses, often with gardens, providing plenty of space for children to play. You're close enough to walk to the local shop for essentials or a meal, and the village serves as an excellent base for exploring the nearby beaches, like La Franca, or venturing into the Picos de Europa for gentle hikes suitable for all ages.

Couples looking for a tranquil escape will also find properties just outside the village centre appealing. These often offer more seclusion and stunning views, superb for a relaxing break.

The best time to go to Turanzas is during the summer months, from June to September, when the weather is warm and sunny, great for enjoying the Asturian coast.

July and August are particularly popular, offering the warmest temperatures and the most sunshine, ideal for beach days and exploring the surrounding countryside. This period also sees a lively option in the coastal towns, with local festivals and activities taking place. Families will find this time great for a holiday, as the warm sea temperatures are great for swimming, and there are many outdoor activities suitable for all ages, from exploring the Picos de Europa to enjoying the local beaches.

For travellers looking to avoid the busiest crowds while still enjoying good weather, June and September are excellent choices. The temperatures are still pleasant, and the scenery is beautiful. Couples might prefer these months for a more relaxed and quiet experience, allowing for peaceful walks along the coast and intimate dinners in local restaurants without the peak season bustle.
