Tulum Beach home in exclusive residential neighborhood of Aldea Zama

Our Tulum tropical home is a 2-bedroom / 2.5-bathroom apartment set among lush tropical trees and sparkling pool. It's a 1,400 sq. ft. of interior living space with an open concept living floor plan from the kitchen into the dining area onto the living room. The space has its own half bath and serenely flows out from our floor-to-ceiling sliding door right onto our front patio that connects to the main pool; all only 15 paces away. The building benefits from a shared outdoor lounge area with pergola and outdoor showers & guest bathrooms. An on-site private massage appointment can be arranged upon request with advanced notice. The private sleeping quarters set away from these main living spaces. The master suite has a king-sized bed, amble closet spaces and ensuite bathroom while the second bedroom has 2 double-sized beds, amble closet spaces as well as an ensuite bathroom.

Our garden floor apartment is well located for beach time, culture and adventure. It is easy to explore the town on foot or by bike, with Tulum beach road leading to the beach, bars and restaurants just nearby. The property is in a private, eco-centric neighborhood of Aldea Zama in the heart of Tulum. Aldea Zama is the closest residential neighborhood to Tulum beach, which is less than a mile away and easily reach by bikes in 10 minutes. There is a paved biking/walking path on the beach street leading directly to Tulum beach. Tulum frontal beach road is a long paved road that runs all the way South to Sian Ka'an Biosphere Reserve. The beach frontal road has sought-after beachfront dinning restaurants on beautiful coastal beaches, chic boutiques, top notch yoga retreats and the famed Tulum Ruins by the Caribbean sea; all are accessible by bike. Other attractions include mystical and magical Cenotes, snorkeling, diving, the Akumal Monkey Sanctuary. For families, X-plor Adventure Park, Xcaret Eco Theme Park, Xel-Ha and Xenses are aquatic theme parks suitable for all kids and kids-at-heart are located within easy driving distance.

Our home is full of natural lights and airy brightness. This is our happy place with a comfortable apartment made for easy living. Our home is stocked with 100% cotton bed linens and towels. The philosophy of "bringing the outside-in" is our family’s motto. Furniture is custom-made and hand-crafted by a local master carpenter with local hardwood. We love the easy access to the beach, the tropical views through the windows and the bright colors throughout.

Our property is also 10 minutes bike ride to Tulum Pueblo (aka Tulum Town). Tulum main town is vibrant, friendly, authentic with gorgeous boutiques, local artisan shops, fantastic restaurants. The town is a thriving community with banking, commercial center, schools, clinics and hospital.

Minimum stay: 5 nights. The apartment is on the ground floor with sliding glass doors giving direct access to the pool, which is not gated. We recommend our property for those with non-crawling babies and children over 5 only - it is not appropriate for families with toddlers. Non-swimmers and young children will need supervision at all times. All the windows and sliding glass doors have screens; the apartment has 3-individual air conditioning units plus ceiling fans. A flat screen SmarTV is available with streaming service via Netflix and YouTubes available alongside a high-speed internet service. A washer&dryer set is located inside the apartment. The number one benefit is the closest proximity to beautiful Tulum beach, which is easy to get to from the Aldea Zama neighborhood. The shared pool is great for kids of all ages, and is right out of our front patio. There are no stairs into and out of our apartment but the floor when wet gets slippery. There is no pool gate or pool alarm anywhere in Mexico, even at the 5-star hotels. It's crucial and of utmost importance that you are look after your family members who cannot swim and your young children at all time, especially around the pool. There is absolutely no diving head-first into the pool.

Getting around Tulum is better by bike; the residence is within the cycling distance to most activities, the beach and Tulum Town. Car and bike rental are easily available from the residence, with both car and bike rental agencies walking distance away. There is a private parking space. Taxis run to most locations in Tulum for a handful of dollars. Chedraui Supermarket is a 10-minute bike ride away.

Good eats can be had everywhere up and down the beach frontal road and in Tulum Town. We highly recommend La Zebra, a hotel property with an outdoor shower and a kids playground right on the beach, where many new friends to be made. La Zebra facility top-notch and is welcoming to non-staying guests who come to frequent their incredible restaurant with outstanding food & cocktails. You can go for early lunch and stay all day with great cocktails and the use of their beach day beds; those without the sign "For Guests Only" on them.

The residence is 1.5 hours straight drive South on Highway 307 from the Cancun International Airport. Rental car agencies of most major brands are located within the arrival terminals. IF you wish not to drive we are more than happy to help you make an arrangement for round-trip airport transfers upon your request with advanced notice. We will be glad to help you make arrangement for a private tour inside the Sian Ka'an Biosphere Reserve with a knowledgeable guide just for your family and / or group. The tour is absolutely private you will be with the guide exclusively without any other group for the intimate and complete attention to your questions and comfort. The guide is fluent in both English and Spanish.
