Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities, property conditions & facilities
Pros: new property, excellent staff, very clean inside the hotel and in the parking lot, full kitchen, washer and dryer in unit, very nice bathroom, free coffee and tea, snacks and microwave meals available for purchase in the lobby, very quiet, pool, outdoor seating area, Walmart and restaurants across the street...the list goes on, honestly.
Cons: Unfortunately, there are quite a few homeless people walking about, outside the property, as it is located only a couple of blocks from a not-so-great neighborhood of South Tucson. Also, the previous guest's trash wasn't removed from our room - however, when we took the trash bag down to the lobby for disposable, the staff were very apologetic, and knocked $20 off our bill!
Overall, however, our stay was outstanding, and we will definitely return here on our future trips to Tucson. The homeless issue is more saddening than anything else - I only mention it because it may make some folks uncomfortable. Although the property is CLOSE to a down-and-out part of Tucson, it is actually IN an up-and-coming neighborhood. If you don't drive around, you would never know. The property itself is very secure.
