"We requested 1 room for 2 days not 2 rooms for 1 day. Charged us for both rooms and would not give us our money back. Did not give us a key for both rooms or even tell us a room number for the second room but they confirmed we had both rooms on receipt. I would never recommend this place to anyone. "

"Very nice weekend stay, but ease up on the check-in policy will ya? We were exhausted from driving and just wanted to relax. We excitedly pulled into HIE at 3:15pm, only to be told they have a strict 4pm check-in, no exceptions. (The woman was not exactly rude, but as close as one could get.) I asked what they do if someone just pulled in off the road needing a room and she said they would wait until 4pm as well. I was in so much pain I was almost in tears. We have to go back to the Sylva area two more times in the next few months and whether or not we stay here again will 100% depend on what time we get into town now. I know this seems a strange hill to die on, but my husband and I both have either knee or back issues and honestly, I need to be able to get out of the car to lie down for about 30 minutes before my back stops aching and I'm able to walk without assistance. (Almost forgot breakfast both mornings was really great!)"

"Cabin is cute and we had a nice weekend. 3 stars is because we were looking forward to the wood stove in the bedroom and it was not operational even though we stayed here in February. The shower was a little rough. Shower curtains on both sides cling to you the whole time you’re in the shower. Also, Vacasa Rentals is who you have to communicate with regarding your booking, and you will get nothing but AI generated responses from them. Overall, cute cabin and good location. "

We’ve stayed in hundreds of vacation rentals/homes over the years, and not a single one has come close to being as beautiful as this place. The listing says “million dollar views,” and that’s exactly what you get absolutely breathtaking from sunrise to sunset.The home itself is freshly renovated and spotless, with every detail thoughtfully done. The brand new hot tub was perfect after a long day exploring, and they even had a dog crate available in case you forget to bring yours such a thoughtful touch for travelers with pets.On top of the incredible home and scenery, the host was fantastic. Anytime I had a question or needed anything, they were quick to respond and genuinely helpful.This was truly one of the best locations, best homes, and best overall stays we’ve ever had. If I could give it 10 stars, I would. We can’t wait to come back!"
